This is probably why we always end up in these situations.
1. The public needs footpaths.
2. People need a livelihood.
They don't need to be exclusive things. 🥲🥲
I am a capitalist and a believer in free markets. They are useful tools to generate wealth and lift millions out of poverty.
For free married to thrive, it is important to have law and order: enforcement of contracts, general safety on the etc.
But one can do all of this while having compassion for the poor and the vulnerable.
And it is not just compassion, these street side makeshift shops are selling goods and services that are in demand. They are contributing positively to the economy.
I think its okay to give such people a bit of leeway.
OH, GET OVER IT ALREADY!
BREATHKESS FOCUS ON THE "END OF AN ERA" IN KARNATAKA. It's as if an "irreplaceable statesman" is passing the baton on to an "irrepressible administrator"! Sure, it means a lot for Sidda and DKS and the Cong but little (squat) for the public.
HERE’S KARNATAKA UNDER 3 YEARS OF CONGRESS "DOUBLE ENGINE":
+ Rs 5,229 cr cut in infrastructure spending: CAG says welfare guarantees strained finances.
+ Fiscal deficit jumped from ₹46,623 crore to ₹65,522 crore in a year.
+ Borrowings surged to ₹63,000 crore; revenue deficit crossed ₹9,271 crore.
+ Over 3,140 infrastructure projects reportedly left incomplete.
+ More than Rs 30,000 crore in unpaid dues towards contractors remain pending across eight departments. CM Sidda acknowledged this.
+ Delay in local body polls could cost Karnataka nearly ₹6,000 crore annually in grants.
In short it's been an "era" defined by relentless scramble for power, perks and political positioning while administration and development drifted into a virtual paralysis. Hope it "ends".
@DealsDhamaka Passport office work now is super streamlined vs the previous broker ridden era. But nothing changed in the "formalities" part of the verification.
@naralokesh@GVMC_VISAKHA@Ketangargmickey War torn countries are looking better. Please make the city walkable. All the master plans talk about more roads, more traffic and more pollution. When do we get footpaths (not taken over by shops) and walkable roads in Vizag?
1.2 cr doses of HPV vax "every year" for all girls turning 14.
This is abuse of otherwise healthy kids. Is our AEFI model robust enough to study the aftermath of this nation-wide campaign.
Govt Schools are pushed by higher authorities to meet targets. Vaccinations happen without

This is the sad state of Rushikonda beach. Our only Blue Flag beach. Please work with the vendors here to install more dustbins and incentivise them to urge tourists to do better.
Serious and troubling questions continue to emerge.
Rahul Gandhi must explain the nature of Congress’s links, direct or indirect, with disgraced sexual predator and convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Were there associations through institutions, events, or intermediaries that the party has not fully disclosed? What due diligence was done before engaging with platforms or networks reportedly linked to him? The country deserves transparency on whether any Congress leader or affiliate had interactions connected to Epstein’s ecosystem.
Was the recent aggression in Parliament an attempt to deflect attention from these uncomfortable questions? When leaders speak forcefully on accountability, they must also be willing to answer questions about their own conduct.
The issue is simple: the public has a right to clarity. Silence will only deepen suspicion.
@TimesNow@YakkatiSowmith That makes you a bully, not a journalist. For the last 11 years there's a non-biological candidate whom you cannot even question once but you shove your cameras and mics onto people.
Incredibly hurt at this comment by musical genius A R Rehman. Reminds me of a TV IV, I did with him once when I kept begging him to sing or at least hum his divine “Ma Tuje Salaam” Vandataram & throughout the half an hour he steadfastly refused. I was upset because artists are never so obdurate particularly about their greatest hits
The Smart Cities Mission was launched on June 25, 2015.
Ten years have passed. The March 31, 2025 deadline is over. Lakhs of crores have been spent.
A simple question to the Govt:
Can you name even one Smart City that meets all the stated parameters?
If not, where did the money go and who will be held accountable?
@ugandharmuni congrats on the movie, enjoyed watching it. I wish at least new age directors like you had left the movie as a good fiction movie rather than trying to force fit mythology as Science. Only science is science, everything else is not until proven otherwise.
