It was one year ago today, October 17, when we read about the news that you fell into a coma. It was a shocking thing to learn. And 3 weeks would go by not knowing we would mourn eventually about your passing. For once, the whole Iran and volleyball community wept.

As a fan of IRI MVT, I saw redemption when you were hailed as MVP in 2021 Asian Championship. You were the arc we were waiting for after the golden era. One year had passed and the answers were still not clear. No amount of articles, investigations and false news published would redeem your dear life.

But today, we remember your beautiful time in the national team. We remember the nose patches on you as you celebrated every point with punches in the air. We remember you as the Tokyo 2020 Olympian, the inheritor of Ghafour, the 2021 MVP, the number 11, a loving son, a good friend, and one of the greatest opposites Iran has produced. Keep shining in heaven and keep guiding the boys.
