Here, I suspect willful stupidity on Keef's part, if it's not actual stupidity. Bruno Bauer (1890 - 1828.) is an example of thinker who denied Jesus' historical existence. In other words, Mythicism goes way back ... We reference and cite Richard Carrier multiple times in the book, as well as the broader movement.
Bart Erhman affirms the historical Jesus but doubts the miracles, of course, and has written multiple books about the literary trappings of the Gospels. Our point is that this is much like taking the ball to the 1-yard line, while refusing to score a touchdown. Admitting that the Gospels have no resemblance to historiography as we understand that term opens up the very real probability that the figure of Jesus is literary, for all intents and purposes. Erhman refuses to go all the way for his own reasons ... but then has contributed so much to the field of Christ mythicism! An irony, to be sure.
I write this for the broader audience, and not Keef himself. Even if you spoon-fed him this argument, he would claim to be unconvinced. This brings up the broader issue of AI. Keef mimics something that sounds like a debunking. In the end, there's no there, there.

I must start this review of Keith’s sweaty critique with a disclaimer of my own: I am under Thargelia by Keith—he has me blocked—and the following deconstruction of his effort-post is the product “alogging”. Now, that we have the catty little intro out of the way, we can consider what he is arguing, or, more generally, failing to argue here…
The first thing anyone who read his article will notice is how much time he dedicates to representing the book. Of the 5000 words, upwards of 2/3s of them are just describing the MtP narrative. If his goal was to prove he read it, I would say he actually did a good job—remove all his pithy quips and incredulity and he wrote a decent synopsis. That was not his intent, however, so I have gone through and highlighted every instance he actually tries to dispute something. Spoiler: he did a terrible job in this regard.
1) Personal incredulity is not an argument. Jewish Midrash links Laban to Balaam, who is an archetypal gentile prophet. Keith does not know the midrash, and clearly did not bother to look it up. Instead he just hand-waves the most fundamental claim in his case against the theory.
If Laban IS white, which he more or less is according to Jews, in fact, it follows that REM theory is actually CORRECT. Within the first few paragraphs, Keith already blew it. womp womp
Feminized perception of “truth” boils down to Manichean sentiment analysis. Does this idea have kind valence or mean valence? The goal is harmony preservation, regardless of its relationship to truth or reality.
It's not lying for the sake of lying, but because the mentality is one of maintaining social standing. A survival strategy manifesting as reputation management. We evolved in settings where exile meant death. Truth won't feed or protect you. But being liked will.
Women are particularly sensitive to this influence. For simple reason: they’re smaller and can’t physically impose their will. Feminized use of language will say things like “words are violence” and actually mean it, because assaulting feelings and perception is warfare to the feminine psyche.
They don't see things as true or false, they see them as harmonious or disruptive. Does this help my social status or hurt it?
Things that increase harmony and status are good, whether or not they are truthful. Things that threaten harmony and status are bad, whether or not they are truthful. Accuracy is an afterthought in this judgment.
An endocrine system calibrated for consensus and cooperation (believing), not competition and disagreement (proving). Truth insists you move to prove (empirical test); harmony asks that you sit and believe (rational trust). One lives primarily through the body; the other lives primarily in the mind.
The strongest indicator of feminine cognition is its refusal to systemize (e.g. treating everything as new, denying patterns, resisting structure). This mindset will instinctively hunt for exceptions and treat them as rules (“But not all”). It thinks a couple anecdotes undoes an aggregate. Chaotic reasoning.
Systemization means rules. Rules mean standards. Standards mean exclusion.
And exclusion is not as kind as inclusion…
Hyperborean Apollo
How Apollo can simultaneously be a God from Far North while also being the 'most Greek of all the Gods'
=================================
Walter F Otto -The Homeric Gods: The Spiritual Significance of Greek Religion
“Apollo is the most Greek of all the gods.”
Herodotus, Histories 1.65
The Dorians (Harkening to the Dorian Invasions) consult the Delphic oracle of Apollo and describe the god as their ancestral deity.
“The Dorians, he said, had always lived in the land which is now called Histiaeotis, under Ossa and Olympus; but when driven from that country by the Cadmeans, they settled about Pindus, and were called Macedonians; thence they migrated again to Dryopis, and from Dryopis came at last to the Peloponnese, where they took the name Dorians.”
-here we can see that the Dorians were Described as having always lived in Histiaeotis or Northwest Thessaly.
In Histories 1.56, discussing the Dorian and Ionian peoples, he writes:
“These peoples, the Dorians and the Ionians, are Hellenes.”
Müller's History and Antiquities of the Doric Race (1830)
“the principal deities of the Dorians were Apollo and Artemis, since their worship is found to have predominated in all the settlements of that race; and conversely the Doric origin can be either approximately or remotely traced wherever there were any considerable institutions dedicated to the worship of Apollo…”
“The name of the Delphian god … had even led the way to the settlement and conquest of that peninsula, and hence Apollo was called by the Dorians their leader and founder.”
Thucydides — History of the Peloponnesian War 6.3.1
“They founded Naxos, and built the altar to Apollo Archegetes, which is now outside the city…”
Archegetes (Greek ἀρχηγέτης, archēgétēs) means roughly “founder,” “founding leader,” “originator,” or “leader of a people/colony.” It could also be extrapolated to refer to race, he is the racial progenitor.
The Suda
“He(Apollo) came from Scythia to Greece.”
Diodorus Siculus, Bibliotheca historica 2.47.
“Leto was born on this(Hyperborean)island, and for that reason Apollo is honoured among them above all other gods.”
Oxford Classical Dictionary
“Legendary race of Apollo-worshippers living in the far north, ‘beyond the North Wind’…”
Oswald Spengler-Decline of the West
“Henceforth we shall designate the soul of the Classical Culture, which chose the sensuously-present individual body as the ideal type of the extended, by the name … Apollinian.”
Friedrich Nietzsche-Birth of Tragedy
“To these two art-deities, Apollo and Dionysus, is linked our knowledge that in the Greek world there exists an enormous opposition, in origin and aims, between the art of the sculptor, the Apollinian, and the imageless art of music, that of Dionysus…”

Striking Similarities between Christ and Dionysus/Baachus.
========================================
Jesus directly quotes Dionysus and in the same context.
1 Acts 26:14
“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
Euripides' Bacchae
“I will not sacrifice to him, being mortal,
and in my rage against the god,
kick against the goads.”
========================================
The connection of consumption blood and wine
“The Titans... tasted of his flesh.”
Olympiodorus, Commentary on Plato's Phaedo, Orphic fr. 220
Plutarch explicitly describes the Titans as having “tasted his blood.”
Plutarch, On the Eating of Flesh 2
John 6:53: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.”
John 6:54: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 6:55: “For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.”
John 6:56: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.”
John 2:9 explicitly calls it:
“the water that was made wine”
And of course it goes without saying Dionysus is the Wine God and Christians to this day worship by the Eucharist, drinking Wine.

They are both of gods of excess love almost an ecstasy of love
notice Christs new command.
"Love one another. As I have loved you, must you love one another" John 13:34 "Love even your enemies" (Matthew 5:44) It is, at its base, the ethos of the orgy. Indiscriminate Love.
It is a call for the dissolution of class, distinction, or even gender instead "oneness".
And you could say as a sort of mytho/political movement Christianity has always inspired the bouts of orgasmic revolts as it is the father of Bolshevism Liberalism and was itself inspired by the orgies of Bacchus. as noted in the History of Rome, Livy 59-17AD
=======================================
Dionysus was a god brought to Greece by the Pelasgians a group noted by Roman Historian Josephus as having Israelite origins. This is relevant as Christ and Dionysus bare many physical simularities. Christ of course was a Jew and bore the physical appearence of one. While Dionysus is described as
Euripides, Bacchae,
“His hair is long, not in the manner of wrestlers, but flowing down his body in curls.”
Homeric Hymn 7
“a young man, with dark hair”
Also note both gods feature vines in their hair.
=======================================
Celsus a roman pagan directly compares Jesus to Dionysus and uses Bacchus quote to do so
“How (does it follow) that Jesus could not liberate Himself, because He did not do so?
‘The divinity himself will liberate me whenever I wish.’
“But,” he continues, “no calamity happened even to him who condemned him, as there did to Pentheus, viz., madness or discerption.”
the line about liberation is a direct quote from Bacchus, now the commentaries on Celsus which were compiled posthumously by Christians of course isn't calling Christ Dionysus, but it is interesting to see romans made the comparison at all and I felt it was worth noting.

If you have anymore comment because i'm curious myself.
Karmelo Anthony's texts have shown that, on the day he stabbed Austin Metcalf, he was texting friends about having the urge to commit a violent crime. Anthony once said he would stab someone and "lick their blood" off the knife.
Anthony expressed stereotypes and racial grievances against Whites, threatened to shoot up his high school, threatened to vandalize homes, and frequently described an overwhelming desire to commit violence.

The UK government has issued booklets to newly-arrived migrants urging them not to rape, sexually harass, assault, or intimidate civilians in Britain. The guidance also reminds migrants that men and women are equal in the UK, and to not beat their significant others.
With a picture-book-esque quality, the booklets read, “In the UK, both people must say ‘yes’ to sex. This is called consent.”

> “Why does the left riot more than the right?”
This isn’t a hard question once you understand the nature of the two political poles. The nature of order and chaos.
A structure-maintaining agent doesn’t behave the same as a structure-dissolving one. An orderly temperament responds to escalation; a chaotic temperament initiates it.
A temperament oriented towards order doesn’t riot as its first instinct; it seeks to contain riots. Even when enraged, its methods channel known paths for resolution. It riots reactively, reluctantly, and more briefly. It wants to reduce disorder, not increase it.
The Game Theory of Constraint and Escalation
Rules are only as binding as the mutual incentive to obey them. Once one side discovers advantage in violation, the contest no longer occurs inside the rulebook. The standards are then determined by he who is least inhibited, and who loses legitimacy by responding in kind. If one side operates under constraint and the other does not, the constrained side faces competitive disadvantage.
Batman and Joker are useful here, not as hero/villain labels, but as constraint models.
- Batman is self-inhibited by the system of justice he defends. Joker is liberated by contempt for the system and strategically uninhibited.
- Batman’s escalation incurs identity and legitimacy costs; Joker’s escalation reinforces his identity.
Paradoxically, Batman can escalate only by betraying part of what he protects; he competes by being less like Batman. Joker escalates by becoming more fully himself.
This liability is prominent in the short run. But in iterated games over time, constraints serve as a coordination mechanism. Predictability attracts allies, restraint preserves coalitions, and a reputation for proportionality and commitment facilitates cooperation.
Joker’s chaos wins scenes, but Batman’s order sustains a city.
