@Plantagenet1455 This messes with my sense of perspective...
Is the guy a giant next to that castle?
Is the sword even bigger than he is?
Why is there a huge painting of the princes on the side of the keep?
And why are those money-dog-cats as large as the defence tower?

@RetroYisus77 Nitpick aside that the Norse pantheon existed before the Vikings... thousands of years at that point (but I agree that they borrow too much from the late Viking aesthetic)... I was never happy with the shift. It was stupid! Dad of War story could have been set in the Greek world.
@MarozzoEspa Btw, I hope nobody is confused... I added the Schiavona to show that ALL have their place, not just regimental vs Glasgow hilt style Scottish basket-hilts.
I am personally not a fan of scottish basket hilts, but I knowmany love them.
A scottish backsword with silver basket hilt, and a blade of spanish origins from the 18th century (~1740).
@EzioImpavido While you're at it... head to Stibbert Museum and take better pics of the sideswords and other swords (too many people just focus on the armours)... and upload them (tag me in, so I don't miss them ๐).
The card state: Spada di stocco, c.1400-1450
I like the stocco = "thrusting sword" designation for these type of blades. This word encompasses their purpose so well.
(in Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Florence, Italy)
@echetus Traditionally, Britain was too cold to care about ticks.
Guess who has to change their walks through the countryside once the weather gets overall hotter. You! You do! ๐
@Tom_Rowsell@echetus It has to do with heat. If the temperature goes over a certain value for a number of days, the tick population rises dramatically (thus, lymes).
Professional dog owners in particular (e.g. police dogs) know about this in other countries. They have protocols for precautions.
@ArannReichhardt I was just looking yesterday at this piece from Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Florence, Italy.
My bet... an Italian take on an "Oriental" look. But the painting looks less so.
@ilyse_the_beast@freudiana_gamer And yeah... the whole premise is cooked.
People will avoid this game now. I would. It's not that interesting to be worth the negative association I have for it now.
A parry, riposte with a cut or a thrust game + dagger or buckler (but same drama)... I'm in! But for this? Pass!
@ilyse_the_beast@freudiana_gamer I saw a clip of a game with this woman fighting a flower monster with a sus-looking sword (I commented on the sword, like I did to you above).
The next second I find this is a God of War (what?) game and get these posts about sex and looks.
I can't get rid of this topic now. ๐
@ABodorics "...imported from China at great cost."
Man! I thought I was just fighting a drunk in the local tavern! I am so screwed! ๐ซ
Quick, make me a munition grade sabre/dussack... I need to head for the woods and start my life as an outlaw. ๐
@MonsieurSansFoy It is indeed for seeking gaps in the armour.
But that's the idea, it's a different blade compared to a cut-focused one, be it a sword or a sidesword.
@Swurv__ Bro, what do you mean she wasn't hot? ๐คจ
Late 1990s male human brains came with a special dealiasing function that filled in the gaps.
That may sound impressive, but it was a downgrade compared to the brain model from the early 80s... Custer's Revenge. ๐
@ilyse_the_beast@freudiana_gamer How many old people will buy this game? We are not, and should not be the audience if you want to sell a game.
And I reject the idea that young people should find old people attractive because of some marketing spin.
(& I lash out since this annoys me and I can't block it)
