@lyviescott Loved the story! I thought it was a little out of touch to use the violent scene for the sake of entertainment, and I hope as a director she becomes more creative with how she displays triggering concepts in the future. Only complaint. Other than that super good film

I saw it yesterday and I liked everything but the shock value from the rough scene. I don’t find it creative at all to throw something up on a screen that will 1000% be upsetting, especially to victims. It’s lazy for me, and a little rude. But the story, camera work, and actors were great. I just don’t think it’s groundbreaking to take something like that scene and call it art, it’s not art. It’s violence that happens to women every second of the day. There were a million ways to communicate the story line of that *one* scene and it’s very telling. Obv no one included in the film has ever had to endure violence to that extent because they would have understood that there’s no need to map it out for the sake of entertainment. So aside from that part, it was interesting!
