Could this be the reason why so many were swayed into voting for Boris Johnson under his levelling up campaign, unaware that the media that failed to protect society from Johnson's lies, deceit and duplicitous behaviour, were used as a vehicle for Johnson to seek power for shameless self enrichment and greed
Leaving those who dared to hope with the humdinger of a reality check when funding after Brexit was actually cut to the regions, whereas before Brexit, a foreign institution, The European Union, cared more for those in poverty than those gesticulating in the Westminster bubble for power and influence
