@RepMikeLevin Anyone who has been employed in government knows how this works. If you can only be punished for saying yes then you're motivated to say no.
@RepMikeLevin What your post is missing Congressman is that as Mike Lee asserts there are work arounds that will allow these women to vote. BUT if elections officials incorrectly apply a work aorund they can end up in prison even if the woman was an eligible voter!
I for one am much more fearful of Israel and the U.S.'s Pearl Harbor attack on Iran than I would have been due to Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons capability.
The wholesale discarding of law, rules and norms in contemporary sociieties should be viewed as terrifying. In a condition of simplistic anarchy, civilized life is an impssiblity and any feeling of safety must be viewed as either illusory or at best temporary.
@SenatorTimScott It is amazing how often weak arguments are buttressed by the assertion that their conclusion is "common sense." Good sense is uncommon and "common sense" is often nonsensical. The assertion has no more merit than the "hair of the dog" as a remedy for hangovers.
