@hereticbyte@SebAaltonen It's worse than Astra at almost every task I give it (gamedev). I use them both, and if Astra became cheaper, I would never use Opus 5.5.
@SebAaltonen Depends on the task. Medium reasoning is faster, and not every task requires Extra High effort. But in general, yes, I think I use High/Extra High reasoning for 85%+ of my tasks. I haven't found any use cases for reasoning levels below Medium.
@mrdoob I think Valve has no issues with AI. This disclosure is what part of the customer base wants to know, and Valve gives it to them. I'm pretty sure this disclosure will be removed as soon as it becomes clear that 99% of gamers don't give a fuck about AI usage.
@mcnabbd Basically, gamedev is dead, so my advice is: make your final masterpiece and say goodbye to gamedev.
The future is AI factories generating games without any human involvement, at a level of quality beyond human comprehension.
@TimSweeneyEpic All this anti-AI movement in gaming won't last long anyway. And it's one of the stupidest movements I've ever seen in the gaming industry.
That is easy to check. Imagine you see a caricature of Muhammad or someone burning the Quran. If you are okay with that (I mean, you understand that other people don't necessarily have to share your views on some prehistoric books), you can stay in Britain. If not... Well, there are plenty of good Muslim countries.
@Thomaspetersen Well, I think after three render pipeline disasters and 100500 years of DOTS development, management decided not to listen to the people pushing "another shiny tech." It was probably even cool, but imagine the community sentiment around another "breaking change announcement."
