@helloda41986589 I think there's examples of really well written main character death finales but they do often work better when their final moment is actually happy in some way (except Breaking Bad lol, that show should've ended with Walter having a horrible death)
@marshfello12@dogonvenus@DevMajorAbel I don't know, maybe goose doesn't want to be so " on the nose" like many Netflix shows for example are when it comes to trans rep. And this is good.
But this thing with Jax...neither fish nor fowl.
Another reason why the writing of the finale is incompetent
@helloda41986589 I'm admittedly kind of choosing not to headcanon Jax as trans, or at least not transfem/transmasc (trasmasc Jax theory is even worse), bc it genuinely comes off as distasteful to me
@jasperjpg2 I think the idea of him just blocking out any way out out of fear similar to his attitude in E7 would line up with him being, at the very least, an antagonist.
@reallifeuzi I think you could've done a lot with what episode 4 provided but the show kinda didn't bother to and in the end a lot of the show was rendered reiterative or filler.
@reallifeuzi Mostly yeah. Suggestion box could be an episode 5 thing, Gangle's progression amounts to very little in the end because of the direction of the story, only serving to reflect Jax's character a bit more, and Jax cracking was already visible beforehand, this episode made it blatant
