Watch Smudge arrive at our kennel-free rescue and reunite with his old pal Mika 🐶🐶

Smudge has been really struggling in kennels despite the love given to him by the Brighter Days Rescue team. He is so stressed that he hasn’t been the best version of himself when he goes on home trial. Their team believe this is because he isn’t relaxed when he leaves.

So he has come to Rescue World for some decompression time and to reconnect with his inner dog. Then Amy will find him his forever home 🏡 🐶

Seven gorgeous galgos are off on their big adventures to their new homes — Madrid, Los Angeles, Madrid, New York… it’s all go! 🌍❤️
There’s a LOT of work involved in getting seven dogs ready to travel, but honestly, it’s all worth it when we know they’re heading off to their sweet new lives. 🥰
And the really lovely news is Lilo and Lola! 💕
They came into us together, and we desperately hoped we could find them a home together too. Double adoptions aren’t always easy to find, but these two were so incredibly bonded that we knew they belonged together. And now… they have their forever home together! 🥹❤️
A huge thank you to Eileen for flying them to Los Angeles and for being part of the GDS family — what a superstar!
She’s adopted Shivers also, a very overlooked girl ✈️🐕🐕
And I’ll be personally taking the New York travellers, which means I also get a very sneaky bonus… I get to see my daughter, who recently moved to New York! 💕
So there’s a little extra excitement for me in this trip too.
We’re absolutely delighted with how everything has gone. Seven dogs, seven journeys, and hopefully seven very happy new beginnings. 🐾✨

Hei-Wa specifically asked me not to tell you this, but I feel that, as a community, you all deserve to know.
You see, whenever Hei-Wa spots a Mastin out on a walk, his innocent little-dog persona disappears completely.
He turns into an absolute little devil and immediately goes into “I’m taking you down” mode. 😂
The funniest part? These Mastins are about four times his size…
So, there you have it. Behind that sweet, innocent face is a tiny hooligan with absolutely no understanding of his own size. 😂
I’m sorry,Hei-Wa, for being disloyal & betraying your confidence… but in my defence, at least I’m telling the truth 🙄🙈😂😍❤️

Two miracle adoptions that wouldn’t have happened without your help ❤️
First of all, Furia came to us as a diabetic dog. We knew how hard it would be to find her a home, so a very good friend of mine, Lauren in Scotland, agreed to take her.
But obviously, the vet bills needed to be supported because things could get very expensive.
It was either we went for it, or she would spend a long time in a kennel. So you generously donated.
We got plenty of insulin in stock, managed to get all the tests done to get her levels under control, and she was spayed and had many tumours removed.
But recently, we hit another brick wall. Her eyes are now being affected by the diabetes, and that treatment will continue in Scotland.
So we may have to call on you again for a little bit of help if we want to give Furia a great quality of life.
A huge thank you also to Martin at Homeward Bound Animal Transport Services who is going the extra mile to make sure Furia is well looked after during her transport, especially with all her medication.
Sometimes we have to face a few difficult days to get to the sweet life we hope for, and unfortunately, there just aren’t always enough homes willing to take on sick dogs.
So sometimes we have to make difficult decisions and do whatever is necessary to give them the chance of a better life.
And then there’s little Ginger, who has been very, very overlooked and completely unwanted.
She’s actually going to Lauren’s friend. So they’re both off to Scotland, and we wish them both good luck ❤️

Sometimes it’s hard to put into words how much a dog has been through, and a video can’t always show it either.
When Nelly arrived, she was completely shut down. It took over a year just to get her on a lead.
She would bite, buck and throw herself into things, no matter if she hurt herself. She was so distressed by being connected to a lead that she could have seriously hurt herself.
After 18 months, maybe even closer to two years, Karin and Sandy’s patience and consistency have finally paid off.
Nelly is now walking on a lead with people she knows, and the next step is getting her out of the centre and into a home.
But she needs a very, very special home — someone who truly understands shut-down dogs.
This isn’t a dog for a flat.
She needs a garden, other dogs and high fencing, as it may be a while before she can walk outside.
Let’s get Nelly out of here.
She’s still young and deserves a chance 🙏🏻❤️
