Diplomacy is not only about meetings, negotiations, and statements.
Sometimes it starts with a conversation about art, music, books, and culture. 📚🎨🎼

A pleasure to meet the General manager of #Katara, H.E. Prof. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti and explore how we can bring more of 🇨🇿 Czech culture to 🇶🇦 Qatar. Culture remains one of the most effective forms of soft power, creating connections long before any formal agreement is signed 🤝

Meaningful connections begin with a conversation. 🤝

A pleasure to meet with the President of @LusailUni and exchange ideas on how academia and diplomacy can come together to build bridges, share knowledge, and create new opportunities.

Hopefully, the beginning of a fruitful partnership ahead. 🇨🇿🤝🇶🇦

At the inaugural session of Shura Council 🇶🇦 a picture worth celebrating: a growing community of women ambassadors in Qatar! Diverse, supportive, inspiring. Together, we are proving that diplomacy is strongest when it reflects the richness of our societies. #WomenInDiplomacy

From the Speech of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, At the Inauguration of the Second Ordinary Session of the Second Legislative Term Corresponding to the 55th Annual Session of the Shura Council:

We also want to emphasize on this occasion that our commitment to dialogue and peaceful solutions does not mean being complacent about defending our country. Likewise, our right to defend our sovereignty does not conflict with our determination to prevent a wider war. You know, and everyone knows, that Qatar has always preferred to resolve disputes through dialogue, negotiation, and diplomatic means. This has always been our stance, and it remains so.

Today marks what would have been Václav Havel's 90th birthday. His ideas, writings and legacy continue to inspire people around the world. We've displayed some of our favourite Havel quotes at the Embassy and Czech Centre. Tell us yours. 💭

The information ️ that shapes how we see the world 🌍 has to start somewhere. Today, I had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Qatar News Agency, meet with Director-General Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Rumaihi, and learn more about the people who gather and share the news we rely on every day.

Of course, media cooperation between our two countries 🇨🇿🇶🇦 was also on the agenda.

And on a personal note — as a special gift, I received this photo memory from President Pavel’s visit to Qatar in January 2024. I was part of his delegation, and it was my very first taste of 🇶🇦.

At the time, I had no idea that Doha would one day become my professional destination. 🙏🏻✨

Co může vzniknout, když se propojí aktivity 🇨🇿 a 🇶🇦 univerzit?

Během návštěvy University of Doha for Science and Technology jsme s rektorem Dr. Salem Al-Naemi hledali odpověď.

Od vývoje smart technologií a výzkumu obnovitelných zdrojů po výměnu studentů a vědců. Možností je spousta. Teď je proměnit ve společné projekty. 🤝
