@Surina_Sharma I’ve got 2 weeks of the teaching block left and something is trying to take over my body. It hurts to move 😂 I hope you feel better soon and can catch up! Or just wing it 😋
@saskiapsy@KhyPatel7@psychmag I completely agree! I took out a max PG loan out to cover my MSc costs and worked full-time to support myself through it with no other help. But if MSc is not possible then PWP courses are a good alternative plus great experience 😊 more DClin courses are open to 2:2 now!
@psychmag Not necessarily. I’ve never let my 2:2 stop me. Did a MSc, PWP qual, got AP experience in 3 different roles and I’m now a DClinPsy trainee. Keep pushing! The right places/people won’t see you as just a number 😊
@KhyPatel7@psychmag Don’t feel like you have to avoid AP jobs because of it. All AP jobs I’ve applied for required 2:1 (I have a 2:2 + MSc and PWP qual) and I’ve gotten offered every AP post I apply for. Ignore the grade and go for it!
Seeing a lot of tweets about people’s amazing 1st days/weeks on DClin. To normalise some that didn’t feel like this - neither did I. I was, still am, massively overwhelmed and anxious and questioning basically everything 🙃 multiple huge life adjustments at once are not ideal
@chrisgray2k I did 10 months in private neuro, 10 months in NHS CAMHS and 7 months in NHS adult CMHT as an AP, and 19 months as a PWP (trainee and qualified). Plus a couple volunteering roles in IAPT! Good luck! 😊
@karolinaw1201 Show your understanding of risk management and protocol/policies around it based on the population you have worked/will be working with, e.g. safeguarding etc 😊
Y’all don’t watch the Discovery channel or Animal planet and it shows 🥹🥹
A kangaroo is not waiting for help in a lake… it is a tactic to draw you in and drown you. They are standing at the deepest point and they’re feet are on the ground. Please ignore it 🥲💛
