I’m so interested to see what Matt Gill does. From the outside looking in, it seems odd that he may hang his star on Russell, a universally-berated manager, for a club in the lower league. Is Leicester a bigger job than us? Meh, it probably is. But there are pros to joining #WBA
I’m thrilled. Absolutely buzzing. But, just to play devil’s advocate, is Mozza without Gill the same Mozza? I’d love it if he were signed up too. To get them in as a duo would be very exciting #WBA
@_N47H4N Wrexham offered him a deal and he turned it down. If it was due to length of contract, and we were to offer a year or two longer, fair enough, especially with his brother here. But if it was a financial decision, no way could we compete
🚨🐝 Watford are closing in on deal to appoint Alessio Dionisi as new head coach, decision made.
Two year contract set to be agreed, waiting for Empoli to give the green light to his exit.
#WatfordFC hopeful to close the deal this week.
@wba_147 He doesn’t beat his man enough or assist enough to be a winger, he doesn’t track back enough to be a wing-back and he doesn’t score enough to be a striker. Tell me what he offers
Imagine a world where Grant, Maja, Dike and Jed all leave. The pressure to assemble a completely new, and coherently compatible front line would be immense, and very challenging. Perhaps KG and JM will leave, but I 100% understand the thinking in wanting to build around them #WBA
@Albionwestand@J_Phillips1994 Palace have activated the year they had in their favour, so he’s not a free agent. That being said, I would hope we could get him for around £2m
@harrisc_04 Nowhere near as crazy as fans thinking they know enough about the inner workings of the club to state that the players suddenly ’started trying again’. Like it’s ever that straightforward
I’ve seen some totally unjustified, fickle overreactions to yesterday’s performance. That squad gave everything for Mozza to get us safe, left nothing out there. They are exhausted. Psychologically, when safe, the adrenaline doesn’t pump as hard, the legs feel heavier (cont)…
The #wba outrage after yesterday is wild.
In that atmosphere & occasion, from half hour before KO you knew it would be a tough match for anyone. Changed XI, effort over last 10 matches & safety secured. Sometimes just take defeat on the chin. In every aspect it was #swfc's day.
@harrisc_04 We’ll agree to disagree then mate. Calling some fans fickle is far less ludicrous than some tweets I’ve seen turning on the players (and even Mozza) after yesterday. Rather than accepting tiredness, the fingers point to early season performances, despite the incredible run. Crazy
