Vlad is one of the original First Hundred colonists of Mars, and his group develops the longevity treatment that radically extends human life, while also formulating the new "eco-economics" that becomes part of the emerging Martian civilization.

In 1948, Wernher von Braun wrote a novel where the leader of Mars is titled "the Elon."

Musk reshared it this week, joking about prophecy.

Then Vlad Tenev answered with his own. Kim Stanley Robinson's Red Mars, 1992: Vladimir "Vlad" Taneev, one of the First Hundred colonists — the one who formulates the colony's economics.

He signed off: "I'll see you on Mars."

Musk builds the rockets. Tenev builds the rails that price them. Both were named decades early.
