Being adopted is like getting a Lego set where the picture is a Ferrari, the instructions are for Bugatti, & the pieces are for Porsche… some from other sets, some missing—& you’re expected to build it without asking where it came from, like it should feel natural.#adopteevoices
@99_Colorado@bonnienorman But you don't live with them. There are other options as most people know e.g. Legal guardianship. Everything falsified, no genetic mirroring, loss of medical history all devastating irrespective of a 'good adoption' we suffer with C-PTSD, Hypervigilance, & HPA Axis Dysregulation
@HeidiBachram You can’t win in a courtroom where Judge Jones has already written the verdict. For an ideological sequestrationist, this isn’t a debate—it’s a performance. You aren’t a person with facts; you’re just a ‘villain’ they need to convict to feel like a hero
This is a brilliant - bleak - piece about the broken local politics of Birmingham. First class on the ground reporting by @alexrogerssky@JoshGafson1
These pieces aren’t easy - you only get footage like this with skill, graft and luck - please watch:
Labour don’t understand business.
2020 - to employ a 21 year old 40 full time would cost £17,035
2026 - to employ a 21 year old 40 full time would cost £29,600
A 74% increase. Meaning a cafe needs £400k extra turnover just to fund ONE job!
🚨As of yesterday, the Islamic regime opened up the Internet at around 30% connectivity. Forced to do it for their own interests as the country was near to complete paralysis.
As such, hundreds of videos have now come through on the telegram channels. I’ve seen about 10% of them. I have now stopped.
We always knew what this regime was capable of. The cruelty, savagery and barbarism that I am seeing now is on a different level. It is not just the foreign militias hired by the regime from Iraq and Afghanistan to do their dirty work. It is also Iranian security forces against their fellow countrymen, unarmed civilians.
The numbers being killed each day is increasing at such an alarming rate it is beyond shocking. Bodies are piled up on the streets of the major cities in black bags like garbage. Equally staggering is the silence and inaction by the international community.
Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews. What we are witnessing in Iran in real time is a government trying exterminate a segment of their own population that that does not agree with them. Even if it’s the majority, there is no stopping them.
What gives people in Iran hope is us not looking away. But most importantly - in the brief moments the internet allows them - to glimpse messages of support from people on here. Because it make them feel less lonely.
All eyes on Iran.

Iranians have observed with dismay social commentators contort & twist trying to find “moral consistency” supporting Palestinian rights while at the same time showing solidarity with the people of Iran who have just been massacred by the Islamic regime as if it’s a deeply complex riddle. With a disturbing conclusion: “best leave this regime to do what they’re doing.”
So why do Iranians believe getting rid of this regime is the crucial final step towards freeing themselves AND the Palestinians.
Here is the nuance. Football fans knew.

@NizMhani Heart-breaking for the Mullahs. Sighing over morning tea, realising they've no choice but to brutalise Iranians, fund terror & line pockets with cash. Why? Because Jews, obviously. If not for them, I’m sure they’d hold free elections by lunch.
Hamas’s intelligence base in Al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Southern Gaza Strip: Hamas’s intelligence services have started going after a friend of mine and their children in the Gaza Strip after they stumbled into a vast Europe-based money laundering operation for the terror group based in Belgium. Two days ago, they received a notice from the internal security services of Hamas to head to the al-Nasser Hospital for interrogation on New Year's Day, while their son was already called up for round 1 and had just received notice for round 2 of the interrogation. At the heart of this mess is a Belgium-based individual who collected hundreds of thousands of Euros from different people, and sent them to Gaza, supposedly for charitable purposes and for people to send to their families. Instead, this man was an agent of a significant Hamas security commander in Gaza’s internal intelligence service.
Worse, the commander is hiding in plain view before the whole world and pretending to be a “journalist,” something he used to lure multiple parties into the scam, including a vast network of Moroccan donors. The Hamas commander falsified birth certificates for supposed orphaned children who were killed by Israel, and collected hundreds of thousands of dollars to “take care of them,” only for that money to be funneled to Hamas. My friend was part of those who were scammed by the Belgian-based Gazan “asylum seeker,” after their child in Europe sent money with the Hamas agent, only for large sums of it to go missing.
The scammer in Belgium stopped sending money to Gaza after he claimed that his account was frozen by Belgian authorities, when, in fact, this very claim was part of the scam after he had collected a large amount of money. Following months of demanding repayment, the scammer was spotted traveling on luxurious vacations, and finally said that he would not return any of the funds to those affected.
I’m refraining from using names and identifying details to protect my friend and their children. Today, Hamas took them to the Administration Building of the al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza (see attached photo). In the basement is an intelligence base that’s used for interrogation. A senior operations officer asked that my friend stop talking about this subject, or else they would spend every day in interrogation, and their children would face “a terrible fate.” Worse, female interrogators were brought in to urge my friend to drop the topic and “forget about the money” and all parties involved.
There are detailed receipts, names, dates, locations, layouts, and more – all of which will be provided to European authorities (and others) to dismantle this Hamas money laundering network. I’m sharing this as a warning to the terror group in Gaza because I know they are looking and watching: back off and simmer down, for your scam is up. My friend asked that, should anything happen to them, I will share every detail publicly with the entire world.
Hamas has turned all of Gaza’s hospitals into MAJOR police, intelligence, and security headquarters, a flagrant criminal violation of international humanitarian law and basic human decency. Also, it’s time for Belgium to stop being a platform for Islamist terrorists and their operations, intelligence, money laundering, and propaganda.
@NiohBerg@araghchi I mean it's not like your regime has been stirring up all the issues with Israel and causing these "genocides" with your proxy wars or anything is it. "Oh I'm a sadistic religious nutter, but only because Israel exists. I'm lovely otherwise"
As events unfold in Iran the courage of the people is staggering. It’s basically a civil war and the people are winning. Yet very little is covered in the mainstream press. And if anything is covered the chosen narrative is reflected from the position of the Islamic regime.
If the regime falls in the next few days it would possibly be the most massive international news short of earth making contact with aliens, and the global impact arguably more seismic than Russia/Ukraine and Venezuela combined.
So it needs to be said emphatically: these protests are not “Israeli-led”. Of course Israel opposes the regime in Iran. How could it not when the constitution of the IRGC is “to destroy Israel and kill all Jews everywhere”.
But this is not a binary choice. You can support Palestinian rights AND OPPOSE the regime in Iran. The bottom line is if you support a regime that murders its own people in broad daylight, kills, maims and shoots women in eyes, you have a problem with your moral clarity.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.

@danielgoyal Why do people keep posting stuff that is clearly untrue and easily fact checked? All these lies don't help anyone, they inflame conflict and cause more misery.
@CraigShirley15@ruddick@UKHofficial To the business owner, losing a discount is exactly the same as a price rise. To the Treasury, letting a "temporary" relief expire isn't technically a tax rise—it is just "returning to normal." It is a technical truth but a financial lie.
@ColinJSharpe@allenanalysis Whatever you think of what he's done, a quick search confirms he is an American Citizen. Born in Florida. In all likelihood has dual nationality hence the mistake. Why do people just take everything at face value without spending a moment to check facts?
@appg_ap@RachaelMaskell No parents should be adopting, full stop. In cases where there is no possible kinship care, then legal guardianship promotes safe care without the lies and added trauma caused by adoption #adopteevoices
