Thanks Linda :) I made a lot of mistakes but I learnt a ton and created some pretty special memories. You always gave us an open and rich environment to lead!

Encourage and validate effort over outcome. The growth mindset was on last night with @legacy_coaching , Johnny and @martinjreader. Parents are going to watch their children's through new lens #yorklearns
Parents: Most important thing is car ride home.
Winning is a real thing. Losing is too. So is celebrating success and realizing areas for improvement. But most important is showing love regardless and reminding your kid their performance IS transient and is NOT their identity.
SAS welcomes back Olympians @martinjreader and @b_maclean to join our SAS King Street Kicks charity soccer tournament for the second year in a row! Thanks for coming out!

@martinjreader joins us to discuss how good coaches understand how different athletes best perform and respond to varying cues, and using multi-sport sampling to strengthen the mind. Listen here: https://t.co/90EDwvkcjo #LOVEWHATYOUPLAY
Athletes; let me ask you this:
When your ‘A game’ isn’t there, how good is your ‘B game?’ More importantly, how is your attitude & mindset when you only have your ‘B game?’ Do you still bring the same focus, commitment and intensity, or do you spend that time making excuses?
TRAIN = intentional building of the athlete you want to be in the future.
PLAY = creating space to explore and affirm the athlete you are right now.
Ensure you have a healthy balance of both, fun free play is just as essential as structured training.
Insecure leaders ridicule others. Secure leaders laugh at themselves.
Great leaders take their work seriously, but don't take themselves too seriously.
The ability to make fun of yourself is a mark of humility and a catalyst for learning from mistakes.

Kremchek calls it an epidemic.
He says “our fascination with winning, getting free tuition or going pro is pushing kids in every sport, at every level, in every community and our kids are paying the price”https://t.co/zWwdHr85Sc
@CTGProjectHQ Agreed. Spending time on Character and Culture does not take away from onball training, on the contrary they will enhance performance. Be More VS Do more #offballathlete
We’ve spent the last few weeks reminding coaches they can and should be including Character and Culture in their plans this coming season. It does not take much time to start building excellent people alongside the skills you teach.
