Trump just claimed that the United States had done “a lot” for Ukraine, but that Ukraine has done “nothing” for the US. This is unjust in the highest degree. And not just untrue in the normal sense—it is a big lie, designed to bring about horror and chaos

Young children put almost everything in their mouths, at a time when they’re especially vulnerable to infection. A new study mapping 39 germ-related behaviors from birth to age 10 finds key shifts around ages 2 and 4, and asks whether early exploration might be worth the risk.

According to recent polling, both sexes think it’s worse for a husband than a wife to have an affair – the opposite of the traditional double standard. https://t.co/lKrwKxbkv3
Russia is intensifying its attacks on Ukraine’s export routes.
Its aggression in the Black Sea make it harder to put food on people’s plates across the world.
A Black Sea freedom of navigation arrangement would protect lives and vital supplies.
Ukraine has proposed it. Russia has rejected it.
That is why diplomatic engagement must go hand in hand with sustained pressure on Moscow and support for Ukraine.

In 1970, just 59 women were enrolled in higher education worldwide for every 100 men. By 2024, the figure was 112 women for every 100 men, with women the majority of students in 132 of the 155 countries and territories with recent data.

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed.
Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration.
A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. MORE: The Kremlin’s offer to supply diesel to global markets is a cognitive warfare effort that aims to disrupt the momentum of the effective pressure campaign against Russia’s energy sector, writes @nataliabugayova. ⬇️
The design of Russia’s 2026 strategic bombing campaign against Ukraine, coupled with its intensifying attacks against other European states, seeks to in part overshadow Ukraine’s hard-won gains and force Ukraine and its partners into a reactive posture.
Russia’s cognitive warfare effort aims to disrupt the success of Ukraine and its partners’ sustained pressure against Russia’s critical war capability — its energy sector. Russia’s energy sector is vital to the Kremlin’s ability to fund the war.
Ukraine’s sustained strikes and Western economic pressure on Russia’s energy sector have been driving severe fuel shortages in Russia, in turn forcing Putin to make hard choices. The Kremlin, for example, started to buy refined fuel from India, thereby sustaining additional costs. The Russian Ministry of Finance announced its intent to increase its purchase of foreign currency and gold between October 7 and November 6, 2026, amid declining energy export revenues.
It is precisely because the pressure strategy is working that the Kremlin seeks to disrupt it — including by offering to export insignificant quantities of diesel to the global markets in exchange for sanctions relief.
It looks like Putin told Trump that Ukraine was causing high gas prices, a lie that is convenient for Trump. Obviously it’s Trump’s war in Iran that is the issue. But Trump can’t accept that.
So now Trump wants to give Putin a lot of money for Russian diesel, which won’t do anything to markets and won’t even help him in the midterms, though I bet Putin told him it would.
But since Russia and Iran are allies, the shift in US policy and any US taxpayer money that Trump gives Putin will help both the Russian war on Ukraine as well as the regime in Iran. Trump got his pocket picked as usual but the money is ours and the deeper price is the visible shift of US policy to support Russia’s war of aggression.
In other words, Trump makes the world more dangerous by extending two wars and gets nothing in return, not even for himself (unless there was a side deal, which can’t be ruled out).
“A review of 104 studies found little evidence that demographic diversity makes scientific teams more productive or influential: Only 15-28% of reported results clearly supported the idea, while most found no effect or the opposite.”

A long-standing debate in anthropology concerns whether people in other societies wholeheartedly believe that magic is an effective technology. Drawing on recent work in political science and psychology, Levy et al. argue that this debate should consider whether informants’ reports are sincere and accurate. Levy at al. suggest that people in small-scale societies - and those in WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) societies too - may exhibit a range of attitudes to magic: wholehearted belief (and disbelief), a more symbolic attitude, and even no fixed attitude at all.

This is the most disgusting betrayal of Ukraine since Zelensky’s dressing-down in the White House. And that was largely a symbolic humiliation. Here, Trump is actually stabbing Zelensky in the back, cutting deals with Putin for personal gain.
As @davidfrum writes, this will enrich Trump and his corrupt cronies, but it won’t even benefit him politically: it won’t make a dent in diesel prices. It’s simply a huge win for Putin and an unmitigated disaster for Ukraine.
You’re despicable, @realDonaldTrump.
