@robbie_bac@bennytierney Not sure on that. Looks like Kilkenny just caught the lad and placed him safely on the ground.
Should get a medal of honour!
All joking aside. The Galway player went to ground. Not sure refs should reward that carry on.
@SmallerFishGAA Translation: @Woolberto wants Dublin to be cocky, swashbuckling and hated... Give the media a reason to talk and generate cash for that industry.
Ger Brennan needs to unearth new players. He needs to be humble, tactically aware and prepare his team. Winning attracts crowds.
@gerrykelly31@WestKerrylad I hear ya. So besides Clifford being a little taller, you've just described Con O'Callaghan! Ps. Con doesn't get the protection Clifford does.
Clifford is a very good player, no doubts about that.
@tommyelof@gerrykelly31@WestKerrylad Clifford is very good. I don't get people saying he is the greatest of all time? He's playing in a good team.
The media adoration acquired him protection and favour with officials.
It's not his fault, he seems like a great lad. I'd say he hates the GAA Jesus status.
@gerrykelly31@WestKerrylad Greatest GAA player? Ok, I'll play this game. Is he a better forward than Conor McManus? Is he better than Mattie Forde!? Are they playing with the quality of player, consistently, as Clifford has?
Could you imagine McManus or Forde playing in a Dublin, Mayo or Kerry team?
@HaranMike6@IKop96 In fairness, in most of those Dublin-Mayo games two thirds of the ground were Mayo fans. People only want "fairness" when it's their county. Nobody cared about how unfair it was that Dublin couldn't get half the available tickets.
A better system is needed.
@IKop96 The Cork county board gave Dublin half their allocation for all those football finals?
Unfortunately, this is every year, nobody cares until their county make the final and there's a scramble for tickets.
@CarthyMehall@SmallerFishGAA He set the tone for the game with the bookings early on. What small chance Dublin had of winning wasn't gonna happen on Johnny's watch. Was the Cork team bus dropping him home after the game?
@timbo0411@SmallerFishGAA Cork are very good. They were massive favourites with the bookies for a reason. But, if the ref could come out and explain the two early bookings in Dublin's full back line, that would be helpful. Then explain why the same justice evaded Corks full back line.
