@wallacemick Need journalists having public pangs of conscience about the lies they are telling today rather than the lies that have done their job and now can be retired. Guardian was less and less trustworthy from the time they threw Wikileaks and Assange to the wolves
@BenRamanauskas They didn't stop their poorer citizens coming over to London for work and joining up when war was declared, as my father did, seeing it as a chance to better his prospects. But the 'no dogs, no Irish' inherent racism was the welcome he got on his return to England.
@MarioNawfal well Obama started the process of treating China as a hostile adversary, so this policy has been in place for long enough for China to understand that it shouldn't help arm an increasingly hostile US.
@MarioNawfal thought it was the 'Land of Haves and Havenots' since god knows when, or maybe 'Royal Duchy Oat Biscuits for Cheese and Broken Biscuits by the Ounce'.
@technopopulist Well, we seem to be pretty good at voting for politicians who are untroubled by any humanitarian itch, so that would make PM quite unusual.
@eatmonranch@MarioNawfal You have high school shootings, we have a cluster of summer time beach drownings on the south coast (3) which has become newsworthy. But I'm sure the haters will just love the Palestinian connection. Sad.
