Paul Dobson

I am no longer posting here. Come find me on BlueSky @martocticvs.bsky.social

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@paramountplus why is s05e05 of Lower Decks missing from P+ in the UK???

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm @Norsehound I prefer what we got too. Probert's design feels like too much of a forced transition design

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@Wolf359Project @portalrealm @Norsehound That's a good thought. I was contemplating making an early spec version of my model, and removing a little of the greeble vomit would certainly help move it more towards the TMP aesthetic

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm One of my favourite Trek ships 🖖 Need to do something with my model of it soon I think!

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm It should be even longer actually; the end piece broke off at some point

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm @ScorpionDesign_ I guess it's not really any surprise they don't have a way to report theft, given they themselves want nothing better than to scrape everyone's content to feed their ai crap

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

Echoing this. Both mine and some friends' work also repeatedly posted by them in this way

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@mpwarwick As far as I'm aware, this is the only photo that shows even a hint of what the UP directors looked like (central teacup on the HACS tower). There's a description of it in a book as consisting of a pair of shotgun butts, with the triggers tied in to the mounts to control launching

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@gaghyogi49 The only times they're not shown firing from the deflector dish instead too?

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@OllyGloverLD Welcome news, but the complete lack of signage to that effect is not great. Even just covering over the restriction signs until the expiry would be fine.

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@OllyGloverLD Totally agree. It should have been compulsory for a few years by now. Costs are down significantly and the benefits to the country as a whole are clear

[Sean Robertson 🌹 🇺🇦 🏳️‍🌈🖖 @seanr1978]

This being #StarTrekDay, it is only logical that I post the final renders of my #StarTrekTNG bridge set done in #Blender. This is over a year and a half and 300+ hours in the making. #3dartwork #3dart #StarTrek

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm Looks like they kitbashed that from the trusty AMT kit of the D

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@McLarenF1 Very poor driver dynamics management on display I think. It will bite you at some point unless you get to grips with it.

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm Next to the USS Excel. Legend has her sister ship the USS PowerPoint could really grab your attention and slide through anywhere

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm It is, and there are numerous detail differences compared with the full model

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm Still with the original massive bridge module

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@portalrealm Pylon heights were never anything but full height on screen. One was damaged long after, and the other was shortened to match prior to going up for auction

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@LeeButterley @portalrealm Fully modernised by adding large side windows. Totally different 🤣

[Paul Dobson @martocticvs]

@mpwarwick The real flaw was that naval policy makers did not believe at the time that dive bombers were a likely threat.
