I often wonder, is my X feed 100% dominated with Israel and Gaza or is this the algorithm at work trying to keep me in my echo chamber? Is anyone out there talking about anything else?

And on a more fundamental level, why is this war grabbing so much international attention?

If your answer is not that it’s because it’s Jews fighting the war, then kindly tell me why.

The casualty numbers EVEN according to Hamas are way way lower than other wars or convicts around the world. It’s not like Israel started this war. I’ll remind you, we were in synagogue dancing with Torah school when Hamas came into our country on foot, in sea, and air and massacred innocent people.

So what is it about this war that totally dominates global attention?

I am truly looking for an answer here.

You have a country that was attacked unprovoked who is now fighting back to ensure it’ll never happen again. The cruel enemy who did what they did is now paying the price and sadly so are their people because they use them as shields.

So why does the world even care?

Putting aside the antisemitism and the resulting double standard, I’d like an explanation as to why everyone is so obsessed.

I’m asking a simple question. If you’d copy and paste this war in any other region, would you have even heard of it? Would the news even be reporting it?
