All Saints Cathedral was established in 1917 and for 109 years, has stood at the heart of Christian worship and national life in Nairobi. As I stated in this post back in 2023, the Cathedral’s pulpit has also played a significant role in the agitation for good governance and social justice. Its leadership from the days of its first black Provost has never been afraid to speak truth to power. That tradition has continued through generations of clergy, including the immediate former Provost, Rev. Sammy Wainaina, and the current Provost, Rev. Evans Omollo. Today, the Linda Mwananchi leadership will worship at this historic Cathedral ahead of our mega rally at Jacaranda Grounds. A fitting place to begin a day dedicated to the pursuit of a better Kenya.

Detectives from DCI Mutuati, acting on actionable intelligence arrested Evans Munene Kinyua alias “Mutharimi” at Ngitana area, Mutuati Sub-County. The suspect is believed to be a key player and alleged mastermind in a syndicate involved in motorcycle theft and robbery with violence within Meru County and its environs. Despite previously giving detectives the slip, his luck finally ran out when investigators closed in on him. During the operation, detectives recovered a red Captain Max motorcycle, registration number KMGP 904B, suspected to have been stolen. The motorcycle was found in the suspect’s possession and has since been secured as exhibit as investigations continue to unravel the syndicate’s activities. The suspect remains in custody undergoing processing pending arraignment.
