@allenholub@CGLambdin@wo_hl Usually, people are told what agile ceremonies to do without ever having experienced the outcome. In Cargo Cults, people were exposed to the outcomes but did not understand the process. The parable of the praying Buddhist monks with the tied-up cat may be an alternative.
@tottinge Even when agile does work, autonomous teams that self-organise, collaborate and iterate to great (new) products, it often gets squashed by management for being out of control.
@fxgai@tottinge By now faux-agile has been around for so long that even the agile “experts” are mimicking it and have often never seen the real thing. 😢
Every single agile failure I've seen has been of the same kind: don't establish atomic, autonomous, self-organizing teams; do solo assignments in a two-week treadmill, and push for more ticket-closing constantly.
It's miserable and fails.
@PeterLudemann@allenholub You are describing T-shaped perfectly. Although in your case it is probably more m or w. What I really like is paint drip. Willing to continuously learn to be able to work together at and across the boundaries of each other’s expertise to create next level products
@allenholub What does work mean? What does Agile mean? I think the key is in the gradual, now that we know what working Agile should/could look like. I have seen it work bottom up, but it was so gradual that I would probably get frustrated now.
@newproductdog Are you lolling the same about Clayton Christensen predictions? Honest question! I Respect the man, his work, the theory tremendously. But maybe somethings can’t be predicted. Maybe especially new s-curves by apex predators?
