Saya Kamitani on why now is not the timing for her to go after the World of STARDOM Championship:
“Hmm, I’ve always had an obsession with the “Red” inside me, and I really still do even now. But after holding the Red belt for a year and four months, I understand its weight better than anyone else. And because I understand it, I want to go get it at a timing when I’m even more motivated.
Since joining H.A.T.E., I feel like I’ve only been thinking about myself. To be honest, there was the process of building myself up after turning heel while holding the Red belt. From there, holding the Red belt and carrying the promotion on my shoulders was ultimately for the promotion’s benefit, but inside, I had my hands full just managing myself.
Also, I haven’t really accomplished anything together with the members of H.A.T.E. until now, so I want to face my stablemates and take on a challenge together. Eventually, the singles Red belt… like I said earlier about “timing,” opportunities like that don’t come around frequently when there are this many roster members. That’s why right now, the “Goddess” (Goddess of Stardom Championship) at a time when my bond with Momo has deepened is the perfect timing, and I decided to take on the challenge because I want to go after this perfect opportunity, this Goddess title right in front of us.”
