It's the end of an era, so let's close this chapter with a smile.
This is a summary thread of the final chapter of Given, 10th mix_6! This is an entire thread of spoilers, but I won't be posting any images outside of this. Please buy the magazine and support Given! 🎸
If anyone would be interested, I think it'd be fun to do a space sometime answering questions about the Japanese entertainment industry and talking about what it's like to work in it!
Posting this here too! I can't go into too much detail about my past work, but I would be happy to provide examples and disclose what I can to any interested parties!
Whether individual or corporate, feel free to send me a DM for any inquiries! 🙏
One of the silver linings of my job situation changing is that I can finally accept any and all freelance opportunities!
I've had to reject several offers over the past few years, so if anyone needs translations, voice pack scripts, lyrics, voice acting, etc., I'm your girl!
As a super quick intro, I'm Keru!
I live in Tokyo and have experience doing multiple things in the Japanese entertainment industry, such as writing lyrics, translating songs, and writing voice packs for corporate VTubers. ✨
I'm also a long-time utaite and freelance translator!
I'm thinking of streaming for the first time in a while! If I do, what would you like to see? Live translating untranslated stuff, discussing interviews that were lost in years old magazines, real JP recording studio experience and how it compares to Given? Other series?
I beg to differ! If you're passionate about something to the point that it lights a fire beneath you, that's what's going to get you through the hardest parts of learning a language. When doubts cloud your mind, passion will be your strength.

I can't give details, as usual, but I love my job! I wish I could share more projects that I've had a direct hand in, but I'm so lucky to do what I do!
This is apparently the ES-330 Sixties Cherry (but with silver P-90 pickups), the 2024 renewal which replicates the original 60s design (1962~1972)! This was a super big deal when it came out, since the 330s stopped being produced in 1972 outside of limited reruns like this one!
I definitely wasn't that girl kneeling down as close as I could to Mafuyu's guitar trying to see if I could check if it was an actual E-330 or a 335. (I think it's a 330!)
They have good taste in mics. Even the stands are Shure!
Guitar lesson time!
Mafuyu's guitar is a Gibson ES-330, a hollow-bodied guitar that was produced from 1959 to 1972. There have been a few limited reruns since then, but it's extremely rare to find a guitar that's identical to Mafuyu's nowadays. Let's dive into why!
