En vanlig norsk kvinne. Hun var i et forhold med den afghanske mannen Nawid Bayan.

For bare én uke siden ble hun innlagt på sykehus med hodeskader etter å ha falt hjemme. Under innleggelsen anmeldte hun Bayan for vold. Anmeldelsen ble trukket. Hun ble sendt hjem – rett tilbake til ham.

Kort tid etter var hun død.

Nawid Bayan er siktet for drapet. Han er ingen ukjent. I 2018 sto han for retten i Gulating lagmannsrett for grov vold mot en tidligere norsk partner. Tiltalen omfattet knivstikking, pisking med rettetang og systematisk psykologisk terror. Han tvang kvinner til å skrive lister over tidligere partnere for så å bruke informasjonen mot dem.

En av de tidligere partnerne, Charlotte Antonsen (som den gang kalte seg Malika Bayan), har fortalt at hun ble utsatt for både fysisk og psykisk mishandling over flere år. Hun bodde på krisesenter. Hun tok senere av seg hijaben og forlot islam og er kjent for sin konfrontasjon på frisøren med Merete Hodne.

Mønsteret er det samme: sjarme utad, kontroll og vold innad. Myndighetene visste. Politiet visste. Hjelpeapparatet visste. Likevel ble Maren sendt hjem.

En norsk kvinne. Drept av mannen hun hadde anmeldt for vold bare dager tidligere. 🇳🇴
