#InternationalLiteracyDay
Did you know that comic books average 53.5 rare words per thousand, compared with an average of 30.9 rare words per thousand in children's books, and also higher than the adult average of 52.7
Let students read comics if it will get them reading!
@ORIGINPC I have been waiting for a refund of hundreds of dollars for months. Arturo is very nice, but he's unable to get this done for me. I was told a check was mailed, but it never arrived. Waiting for a PayPayl refund now for several weeks! When will I get my money?
@MikeMyersBrunch Read the first four issues of Karmen this weekend. Great series. Thought provoking and gorgeous art. Only familiar with DC work by @guillemmarch, but when he has other creator-owned titles, they will be on my pull list.
What if we stopped celebrating being busy as a measurement of importance?
What if instead we celebrated how much time we had spent listening, pondering, meditating, and enjoying time with the most important people in our lives?

@MikeMyersBrunch @HackinTimSeeley I've been loving Heavy Metal too. @MikeMyersBrunch Are you picking up any of the comics too? Looking forward to Cold Dead War and Starward.
@MikeMyersBrunch Thanks for your efforts! Work from home is the new normal, so I'm not too concerned about Valiant, but I'm glad I'm not in commercial real estate.
@MikeMyersBrunch How are you liking Empyre in general? I hadn't plan on reading, but find myself picking up more and more (including this issue) of it and I'm pretty committed at this point.
@MikeMyersBrunch 1. A big stack of pretty recent DC and Marvel. Last read was Young Justice #15.
2. Rucka's Queen & Country #9 (reading whole series from floppies) and Y: The Last Man (omnibus) for #bookclub.
3. Next up is Legion of Superheroes #6.
