Wyverns are relatives of dragons. They stand on 2 legs rather than 4, with their wings used solely for flight. Land wyvern is a group of a more basal wyverns retaining ancestral traits such as fire breathing. Depicting here are the wading species that forage near water.

@ausar_the @Visceral9000 Aren’t puffins and other auks currently are threatened by overfishing and pollution that destroy fish populations that are closer to the shore? This make them having to venture out further and further. I think great auk would have face the same problem if they were to come back.

The ORIGINAL Cockatrice/Basilisk among chimeric morphs, and unlike their modern, avian relatives, this Dilophosaurus could shoot acid, and had poisonous skin to boot.

As dragons are considered ancient and powerful chimera, they are divided by cladistic groups within sauropsida. Dragon morphs can be derived from everything from T.rexes to extinct Tuatara relatives.
