@khayerc The mistakes were before he even got elected but unfortunately nobody was brave enough in the Labour party to try to oust him. His disgraceful interview on LBC should have been the writing on the wall for him.
Yes, expect a rewrite of history over the next few weeks…
Starmer’s regime stripped the soul out of the Labour Party. From authoritarianism and enabling genocide to pro-rich anti-working class policies, his downfall was entirely self-inflicted and deserved.
The thing is, some of his enablers and supporters will still hold senior positions under Burnham. And they assume we will forget.
Keir Starmer should have resigned as Labour Leader the day after he said Israel had the right to "cut off fuel and power."
If Burnham is serious about a fresh start, he must remove every trace of the McSweeney/Mandelson machine.
Why should anyone trust Wes Streeting? He spent nearly two years defending a cabinet, and he now argues wasn't up to the job. Backing it when he was in it, criticising it when it's convenient isn't leadership.
New beginning or just a new face in No 10 failing the British public?
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer is officially set to resign as Prime Minister
Several media reports say he'll outline a resignation timetable on Monday after consulting with his wife and family today
Residents of Valentines Ward and Ilford Town are welcome to attend our first councillor surgery on **Sunday 28 June**.
No appointment is necessary—just come along to discuss any local issues, raise concerns, or ask questions. We look forward to meeting you.
My family emigrated to Scotland when I was a child. We found warmth and a society where migrants were welcomed with respect, not suspicion. This attack does not reflect Scotland, the Scottish people or the Scottish Government. It is the result of growing Islamophobia, normalised by parts of the political class and the media. I hope the UK Government takes this seriously. This did not happen in a vacuum.
EDINBURGH: The anti-Muslim attacks are horrific!
For years, Islamophobia has been normalised by the political class and amplified the media. Words have consequences!
We stand in total solidarity with the victims.
The Makerfield by-election result should not be read as a coronation.
It was a referendum on Starmer's leadership and a rejection of Reform's poison. Not a validation of Labour as a whole.
As households grapple with the cost of living, people are looking for stability.
Instead, Labour seems poised to deliver more Westminster soap operas and career-politician psycho drama, regurgitating more of the same when voters are crying out for a politics that puts people first.

Last year, the government blocked my Bill demanding an independent inquiry into its complicity in genocide.
Today, I've tabled it again. My question to any potential Prime Minister is: will you support an urgent inquiry, or will you block our efforts to expose the truth?
Haaretz should probably have a chat with their digital team - kinda weird to share this piece and not mention who wrote it.
Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert!
Last night at the Overview & Scrutiny Committee, we discussed Redbridge’s emerging Local Plan.
Redbridge Independents will do everything we can to ensure it is delivered successfully and that it contains the right policies to make our borough the best place to live for all residents.
I also raised concerns about developers exploiting the period before the new Local Plan is formally adopted.
“We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.”
Jo Cox’s words stand as a lasting reminder that division is never the final word. Unity is far stronger.
Today and always, we honour her memory by working to build a kinder, more united world.
Just £40 extra per flat could have meant safer cladding.
Instead, Grenfell Tower was set ablaze by corporate greed and politcal neglect.
The price of indifference was 72 lives.
Nine years on, remembrance is not enough.
We must continue to demand criminal accountability, safer homes, stronger regulations and a system that treats human life as non-negotiable.

Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal for information after a suspected arson attack on the home of an Imam in Bolton last night.
Footage shows a masked man throwing a lit object through a front window.
The Patel family were safely evacuated by emergency services and no one was injured.
Police said they believe the incident was targeted and are investigating.
In a statement, Hassan Patel said the attack has caused "significant damage to our house and emotional distress to our family, including our children.”
I wrote to @FCDOGovUK Minister of State, the honourable @HFalconerMP, demanding that the UK Government ban the “Great Israeli Real Estate Event”, scheduled to take place in London on 14 June 2026.
The event promotes the sale of property in Israel’s illegal settlements built on occupied Palestinian land. Such activities constitute flagrant violations of international law and are in direct contradiction of the UK’s own long-standing policy and obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 2334.
The UK must not allow individuals, companies or charities to promote or profit from activities linked to illegal settlements.
