my fatal flaw is that deep down I believe one day I'm going to win the new Goodreads giveaway for a book I've shelved

changing your guitar strings is all fun and games until you sit on the couch again the next day

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

@Exit11Arts actually, second time ever, but the first time was in high school and I never got the Zingerman's gift basket that I was promised ;((

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

Got to lead a songwriting workshop today for the first time ever and have decided it's one of my very favorite things to do. Already thinking about how I can make the next one better. Thanks for having me @Exit11Arts :) <3

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

Craving more music that isn't built for consumption -- songs intended for ceiling fans, shadowed woods, that weird futon at your friend's place where the ants gather in the afternoon ... music for fleeting moments?

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

(Borders originally started in my hometown, Ann Arbor, and went out of business when I was eleven. Apparently the only stores that still exist are in Dubai, Oman, and Malaysia!)

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

Will never get over how surreal it is to walk into a Borders in Dubai

[Thing Bad @Merman_Melville]

i think it's very funny that the house of the dragon guys are like "we want to reflect the misogyny of the time period" the time period is the twelfth of makebelieve. it's the 149th year of sir gooby the dragonfoot. it's the eighth age of targabargabor. it's literally made up

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

@NYUADArtsCenter @NYUAbuDhabi eagerly awaiting the reveal of my social calendar ;)

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

where should I be going to listen to music in Dubai? one week living here and I'm desperate for a concert

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

@AathmaTheSoul I'm playing there next month :P

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]

I know this has been said before but it bears reiterating that having a cat sit next to you while you write is a 10/10 experience

[Mary Collins @marycomusic]
