Such a privilege to be part of the 9th Annual WOW Summit today at Marymount School. WOW Summit is a student-led event that welcomes students from all backgrounds, school environments and locations for an inspiring day focused on gender equality and social justice.

We're thrilled to announce that filmmaker, philanthropist, and activist Abigail Disney will serve as the opening Keynote Presenter at the February 15, 2024 Educating Girls Symposium at @Marlborough (Los Angeles, California, USA). She will be joined in conversation with Concepcion Alvar, Headmistress of @MarymountNY. Abigail advocates for real changes to the way capitalism operates in today's world. As a philanthropist and social activist, she has worked with organizations supporting peace-building, gender justice, and systemic cultural change.

She is a documentary filmmaker who won an Emmy for “The Armor of Light.” Her latest film, “The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales,” which she co-directed with Kathleen Hughes, made its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film screened in select theaters and is available on demand.

The Symposium will close with a Keynote Panel Presentation featuring the perspectives of thought leaders on AI in education. We are grateful to Christina Lewellen, Executive Director of @theatlis, Erin Rehel, Chief Operating Officer of @one_schoolhouse, and session moderator Khanichi Charles, Co-Chair of the Generative artificial Intelligence Committee (MaGIC) at Marlborough School, for sharing their insights and perspectives with us.
