@the_203k_way You should never attempt to skimp on the construction side. It will come back a haunt you later. Don't try to force a deal. It should work on it's own.
@the_203k_way A down or crazy market can introduce special deals but, as Matt says don't sit back because you never know when that special deal will present it self.
@DepSecTodman FHA should make the necessary changes to the 203k rehab investor portion because investors are the only fractions that will develop properties in blighted neighborhoods. We also need someone in the secondary markets that will purchase 203ks for municipalities and investors.
@NAHREP@FHFA Offering reduced upfront costs on the 203k renovation loan in certain areas would be a huge benifit for the undeserved communities and would help get these homes back on the tax roles and ckean up some neighborhoods.
@the_203k_way I've done one back in 1993 or 94. Mine went really smooth. When you have the right people in the right places, you can slam dunk these loans.
