There's a particular loneliness in being the one who decides the patterr stops here. This felt like a gentle hand on the shoulder for anyone carrying that quiet responsibility.
The part about old ways feeling familiar hits differently when you're actually in the middle of changing them. Some days the new path feels unnatural and exhausting, even when it's healthier. Grateful for the reminder that strength and progress can exist without perfection.
Trying to start living in your late 20s is such a humiliation ritual. Kids half my age experienced more than I have, and have more skills than I do... I just can't believe it is feasible for me to ever catch up and live an actual life.
Breaking cycles whether generational or personal is rarely dramatic. It's quiet, repetitive work that often goes unnoticed. This prayer feels like a soft place to land for anyone carrying that weight right now.
A prayer for anyone breaking generational or personal cycles: May you have the strength to choose differently, even when the old ways feel familiar. May you find support and wisdom, and remember that progress never requires perfection.
You don’t have to pick one passion. Learn philosophy. Paint. Write. Build things. Study the stars. Disappear into the woods for a while. Then get obsessed with something completely random next year. A single lane is for cars, not for people. Chase a life full of curiosity.
A feeling of satisfaction from the inner most person in my 20s is all I want, not because I have it all figured out but it's a pace am aiming at,no forcing things to be or faking life that's not mine
listen, not everyone's trauma gives them thick skin. some people's trauma made them more sensitive and insecure, they cry more easily, get overwhelmed at small tings. The narrative that trauma makes you stronger is a lie. There is, power in acknowledging it and growing from it
Sometimes in your 20s or 30s you’ll get the opportunity to rebuild your life after a negative & traumatic loop. Heal from what broke you, live in your own space. Reconnect with your discipline and learn to love yourself again. It’s very important that you see that journey through
At this point, people really NEED to normalize bed rotting on Saturdays and Sundays. Let yourself rest without feeling guilty. Not every weekend needs to be productive. Sometimes, doing absolutely NOTHING is exactly what you need. You deserve to rest, too.
For the sake of your mental health, learn the difference between being fully chosen and simply being kept around. Being chosen means someone makes an effort to have you in their life. Being kept around means they give you just enough attention to keep you from leaving, but never enough to make you feel secure. One brings you peace. The other leaves you constantly questioning where you stand, overthinking every interaction and wondering whether you’re asking for too much. You deserve to be someone’s intentional choice, not someone’s convenient option. Stop settling for a place in someone’s life when what you really want is to know you belong there.
