How does the table, coach and officials not know the timeout situation under a minute in a close game at State? That timeout should have been avoided when none were available. Tough to assess a Technical Foul with <10 seconds left in a 2 point game.

@langstonwertzjr I think schools, teams, and officials will see a shot clock actually helps the game. Officiating in a State previously that used a shot clock, I heard all the same reasons of hesitancy, but once it went live it went smooth.

@CorsonCole Yes! So required to attend I believe 7 sessions that go over rules and new rules etc. Then 4 scrimmages are required prior to getting assigned varsity. They are led by head referees that provide feedback for the pod of officials.

@CorsonCole Seeing things both in Iowa and NC. I can appreciate the differences in associations. From an officials perspective, I love how assignors work each region and how games and postseason are handled. Also a lot more education/training required.

@CorsonCole Here in North Carolina it’s a NCAA tournament style post season. Top 64 teams in each class, lower seed hosts and final four in Raleigh. (Should be Charlotte at the Spectrum Center)
