Honor the LORD from your wealth
and from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine. - Proverbs 3: 9,10
Perspective. That CPA is looking at the taxes for one year. The financial advisor is looking at the taxes for the rest of the client's life and for the next 10 years of their beneficiaries' lives.
Some CPAs, after they have calculated their client's taxes in years when they are converting their Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA, look at their clients with that concerning look, as though their client is crazy and clueless.
Your current behavior, what you're doing right now, reflects what you actually want, not what you say you want. -James Pollard.
100% true, and a tough reality, sometimes.
This is pretty basic stuff, but here is a simple fillable form that can be used to do a quick household budget. It has most categories, but you can consolidate the few missing categories in Other payments and Other expenses.

@Bryan_Duncan Pretty cool. I pulled up a bunch of the best CCM songs a couple of weeks ago. A Heart Like Mine is on my playlist. Such a great production, chord progressions, lyrics, and killer vocals. You have some others on the list too. Also, Elefante, Crystal Lewis, Jon Gibson.
I had a great time listening to Bonnie Keen's new album, which comes out November 7th, I believe. Really unique music that is beautiful, timeless, intimate, and Christ- focused, and wonderfully orchestrated and produced. Vocally, she is amazing! I mean, come on! She is great!
