Truly entitlement is a disease and as a human, do everything in your power not to be in such position.
I’ve been living with my cousin for the past weeks now, and he has a neighbor (an old woman). What she does is, she sweeps the dusty road every single morning which separates us even before i visited. So meaning it has been going on.
I’ve seen my cousin tips her mostly on weekends whenever he’s back from work cos Sunday is his off day. The amount isn’t fixed, he gives her token depending on how much cash he has on him.
NB: My cousin didn’t employ her, she do it cos she need money. That was what my cousin told me and I’ve witnessed it too.
Here’s the interesting part: few days ago, whiles i was going out, because she needs money, i saw how she has weeded the surrounding on her own. She approached me and said I should see the good work she has done, i smiled and applauded her and gave her some token directly without my cousin’s knowledge. I even told her it’s not the work payment but a kindness i decided to. So she can still go ahead to ask my cousin when he returns back from work.
Little did i know, that’ll be the beginning of entitlement journey I’ve signed up for 😭. Next day, i was just indoors and i heard someone knocking, i came out and it was the old woman. She asked if my cousin has returned and i responded calmly saying that he’ll be back at his usual time.
I was going back inside and she asked me to give her money cos she has weeded today too. 😭🤣 “money keh, when did i employed you?” That was what was going through my head😂
I turned it down due to how she approached the whole situation, the whole work & pay thing is between my cousin and her rather not me. I came in as angel on that faithful day to show her kindness 😂
I also remember when my cousin was complaining about how she’s always consuming alcohol, that’s why he doesn’t like giving her too much for her to see a reason to keep getting drunkard.
Even on days that the road is still clean, she’ll just come out to use the broom to create some impression 😭🤣
I’ll just be laughing inside whenever i see the pattern.

Listened to 5ive, No Sign of Weakness, and Oriade. Omo, Morayo deserves way more flowers. Wizkid wasn’t playing at all, he set the bar ridiculously high.
