The history of psychiatric drug trials includes negative results getting reframed as positive and harms getting buried. Data transparency isnt even an afterthought.
This isn't conspiracy. It's documented. When researchers compared the full set of antidepressant trials submitted to regulators against what actually got published, the published record looked dramatically more favorable than the real one. Negative trials quietly didn't make it to print.
The mechanism is more mundane than one might think. A trial misses its primary endpoint, so the analysis pivots to a secondary one that happened to look good. A harm shows up, gets filed under "treatment-emergent" with no further comment, and never reaches the abstract a busy clinician actually reads.
Paxil 329 is the textbook case: a trial of paroxetine in adolescents written up as safe and effective, later reanalyzed from the raw data and found to be neither.
The reanalysis took years and a court-ordered document release to happen at all.
The worst part is a doctor may not even be intentionally lying to you when they say a drug is "well tolerated." They're repeating the literature in good faith. But if the literature was pre-filtered, its nonsense.
After stopping antidepressants, this 23-year-old said she experienced a “chemical castration." What to know about PSSD, according to experts. https://t.co/jfG3KoxoMq
As a child, I was publicly celebrated for being diagnosed with ADHD. Sharing my diagnosis proudly in the newspaper.
Ironically 22 years later I found myself in another newspaper. This time about the devastating harm and that followed from entering the psychiatric system in the first place.
The Article Reveals The Contradiction:
I was labeled with an “attention disorder,” yet I become intensely focused when engaged in something meaningful to me.
I did not lack the capacity for attention.
My attention was context-dependent:
I don’t see a “disordered” child.
I see a child whose mind and behavior did not conform to narrow institutional and societal expectations of how children are expected to think, learn, behave, and focus within the conventional school system:
• Sitting still for hours at a time with sustained attention • One-size-fits-all learning styles • Memorization and regurgitation of information.
I struggled within systems that treated one narrow model as the standard for intelligence and success.
I never fit neatly within that mold.
My differences were interpreted through subjective diagnostic frameworks built around symptom checklists and socially constructed ideas of what constitutes “normal” behavior.
The standards used to define “success,” “intelligence,” and “normal” behavior are not objective laws of nature, but human-made subjective social constructs.
Children who deviate from that framework often become pathologized. My behavior that deviated from institutional expectations was seen as evidence of a brain pathology requiring pharmaceutical correction.
One childhood diagnosis spiraled into a cascade of psychiatric drugs I never truly needed.
And In trying to chemically “fix” what was never defective in me to begin with, the system ultimately created profound dysfunction and neurological harm.
To this day, I am still fighting to get my brain, health, and life back after the devastating harm psychiatric drugs caused.
Are we truly diagnosing “disorder” or are we enforcing conformity?
Difference is not disorder. #adhd
RFK Jr. told Tucker Carlson the CDC buried its own internal study showing a 1135% INCREASE in autism risk from hepatitis B vaccination.
The researchers were shocked.
So they covered it up.
How?
“They got rid of all the older children essentially and just had younger children who are TOO YOUNG TO BE DIAGNOSED [with autism],” Kennedy explained.
Imagine discovering evidence of catastrophic harm and making sure no one ever found out.
Then, telling everyone its “safe.”
If health authorities are willing to keep a signal this alarming hidden from you, what else are they not telling you about vaccines?
Is it possible that your child’s allergies or chronic immune issues didn’t appear organically, but were triggered by vaccination instead?🧵
Despite What You’ve Heard, “Schizophrenia” Is Not “80% Heritable”
By Jay Joseph, PsyD
The meta-analysis reproduced the folly of twin research, in which researchers overlook obviously false assumptions and interpret data to confirm their beliefs.

Now that the bullshit notion that SSRIs relieve depression by correcting a "chemical imbalance" is dead, we can reconsider how they produce their effects--both good and bad. For over 20 years I've maintained that the answer is hiding in plain sight.
Reproductive scientists have known since 1984 (!!!???) that serotonin mediates the refractory period of sexual response, aka "afterglow." Those of us who have ever had sex may have noted that after orgasm, we feel happy and calm for awhile, temporarily relieved of our worries. But we also experience diminished sex drive for a while, and may not be able to climax again if we try too soon.
I think it's plain ridiculous that this isn't common knowledge in the psychiatric community. There's more info and some references in the article and podcast on my website:

Our analysis of the FDA approval of escitalopram in children with anxiety is finally published. In the approval trial, children were more likely to become suicidal on escitalopram than to improve, yet the drug was approved. We reveal the pro-drug bias of the regulatory system which is not protecting children's welfare. @markhoro@NaudetFlorian. https://t.co/7diqb3VjKo
Call for volunteers: CALLING ALL PEOPLE LIVING IN CANADA WHO HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED AN ANTIDEPRESSANT! Mad in Canada has created a short survey aimed at shedding light on the informed consent process experienced by adults who are living in Canada, and who have been prescribed antidepressants at some point in their life. Our survey is not about whether people should or should not take antidepressants. It’s about what people are being told about the potential effects of antidepressants, when they are prescribed. Learn more and take the survey here. https://t.co/55dZTrTASJ
SSRIs, augmented with Finasteride, are the suggested 'treatment' for male sex offenders, both used in tandem to reduce their sex drive. These are literally chemical castration drugs and psychiatry knows it.
For anyone interested in what I actually do (vs. misrepresentations by people on X who don’t like my critiques of psychiatry’s ideology and treatments)

Stevie Nicks said she hated benzos so much that if she saw her doctor driving down the street, she would run him over.
Meanwhile, other people swear benzos saved their life.
Same drug. Wildly different opinions. Here's why:
They're in different stages of the same medication.
Stage 1: Relief. You sleep. You function. It feels like a miracle.
Stage 2: Tolerance. The drug stops working. But missing a dose feels awful, so you keep taking it just to avoid withdrawal.
Stage 3: BIND. Memory fog. Losing the thread mid sentence. Reading the same paragraph three times. You feel like you're losing your mind. You're not. The drug is doing it.
Eddie Van Halen was disabled for a year coming off benzos. Jordan Peterson took two years to recover.
If you're in stage 3, you are not developing a new illness. And please do not quit cold turkey. Taper slowly.
(1/2) Remarkable milestone: r/PSSD has surpassed 20,000 members on @Reddit, underscoring the urgent need for the medical community to recognize Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD). With little help from medical professionals, people have turned to online communities for answers.
My statin thread reached over 460,000 people. Thousands of you asked the same question.
"If cholesterol does not cause heart disease, then what does?"
The answer has been published for years. In the largest risk factor study ever conducted. 27,939 women. 21 years. Published in JAMA Cardiology.
Here is what they found. And here is why nobody told you.

For decades, vaccines were recognized to cause brain injury and mental retardation. So, they banned "retarded," relabeled the injuries as autism and used autism's ambiguity to hide all of it. Here I reveal all the games they've played to bury vax injuries

This is a really scary call to start medicating more young people with so-called 'mood stabilisers,' a group of sedative drugs with a nasty adverse effect profile (some very toxic), that have never been shown to stabilise mood or anything else (the term that was made up to sell valproate as shown by @DrDavidHealy).
There is decades of evidence antidepressants cause mass shootings. From the start, clinical trials showed SSRIs caused psychotic violence and suicides but industry hid it until lawsuits revealed it.
This article shows just how far the FDA went to bury it

I can understand this is a difficult time for my psychiatry colleagues. I am sure they all have good intentions, but it turns out that the most widely used psychiatric treatment, antidepressants, causes significant iatrogenic effects (e.g. severe withdrawal reactions, PSSD), is not very effective (at best) and does not target an underlying biological abnormality after all. Although many people still seek a psychiatric diagnosis and a medical approach, increasing numbers highlight how misleading and disabling this approach can be. Their voices are starting to be heard, and we need to work with them to provide help for people who have been harmed by psychiatric treatment, and to prevent more harm being done. Trying to shoot the messenger doesn’t help anyone.
