A truck driver was hijacked and kidnapped on the road between Frankfort/Vredefort and Standerton in the Free State last week.
Three suspects tied his hands and legs with wire and held him captive at a farm about 20km from Standerton.
The truck owner believes the suspects were targeting the soya load.
See how this story is being sidelined by influencers and media personalities, it’s a South African🇿🇦 life, it doesn’t matter. Imagine if it was a foreigner killed!! 💔@FactCheckZA

Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) regional members received a complaint from security guards who were working the night shift at a graveyard about people digging up graves.
The officers responded swiftly and rushed to the graveyard. Upon arrival, they found three people inside the grave, busy digging. When the three suspects were questioned, they could not account for what they were doing and where they got the permission to dig up the graves.
Among the three suspects was a Sangoma. They were allegedly looking for dead people’s bones for muti purposes. The suspects tried to offer a bribe of R1 500. They were then arrested for violation of graveyard regulations, malicious damage to property and bribery.
Well done to the TMPD members! The TMPD will continue to combat crime in Tshwane.

Limpopo police recover stolen R900,000 Nissan Navara after high-speed chase
South African Police Service members in Limpopo recovered a stolen Nissan Navara ProMax valued at approximately R900,000 and arrested two Malawian nationals following a high-speed pursuit on the N1.
Acting on intelligence that the bakkie, stolen in Springs, Gauteng, on Saturday, 1 August 2026, was being transported towards the Beitbridge Port of Entry for smuggling out of the country, officers established observation along the N1 South in the Westernburg policing precinct.
The vehicle was spotted travelling at high speed. When the driver ignored instructions to stop, police launched a pursuit and eventually brought the vehicle to a halt. Preliminary investigations confirmed it had been reported stolen. The two suspects, aged 36 and 40, were arrested at the scene.
The recovery forms part of intensified SAPS efforts in Limpopo against cross-border vehicle smuggling. In related operations around the same period, police recovered a second stolen Nissan Navara (valued at about R600,000 and stolen in Alberton) and arrested a third suspect, bringing the total value of the two vehicles to an estimated R1.5 million. The suspects are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court.
Investigations into the broader smuggling network continue.
Help us find this brother so we can assist him with lodging a complaint against @JoburgMPD
Lawlessness can never be celebrated!
@Jaca_Patrick we hope there’ll be a statement today on steps you will be taking on this matter and that these officers will be placed on suspension.

There was a whole community that was displaced by Zama-Zamas, elderly people were sleeping on the floor in the police station. Not even one of those huge ass trucks went there to stabilise the situation but today they had them in numbers. Okay man 👍🏾.
