after years of being misdiagnosed, dismissed, and searching for answers on my own, i finally have a diagnosis: axial spondyloarthritis.

for a long time, i believed fibromyalgia was the whole story. my rheumatologist now believes that much of what i've been experiencing has been driven by inflammatory arthritis. alongside that, i've also been living with me/cfs, a condition that still suffers from a severe lack of research and understanding, and one that has kept me confined to bed for much of my 20s.

if i could have chosen a different life, one free from chronic illness, i would have done it in a heartbeat. these illnesses have taken away years of my youth and continue to limit how i can show up for the causes i care about, politically and otherwise.

navigating all of this has been even harder after losing both of my parents at a young age and having to manage so much of it without the support i wish i'd had.

i've now started treatment with a biologic injection called adalimumab, which i'll be taking once every 15 days. i'm hopeful, but these injections are also expensive.

if you'd like to support my treatment in any way, i'd be deeply grateful. there's absolutely no pressure or obligation, but every bit of help genuinely makes a difference.

i'm hoping this is the beginning of getting at least a part of my life back.

Did you know Amit bhatnagar is on day 11 of his hunger strike in protest of the ken betwa project? Not many headlines for that. Not all protests are treated equally by the state. Pregnant tribal women were beaten up in bundelkhand. Cases are slapped on them to silence them.

Bundelkhand is burning. People are protesting. F this state and its people who don’t want to associate with adivasi protests and will show up for safe movements which don’t challenge the state. Movements that are endorsing kejriwal that brought this saffron regime to begin with man. Phir bolenge “left infighting”. Become a collaborator apne liberalism ke chakkar mein.
