Blaming yourself for a loss is the most narcissistic thing you can do
“I should’ve rotated”
“I should’ve kept farming”
“I could’ve killed there”
You’re NOT the main character
Grow up, be mature, and start blaming your teammates
Whether you like Lyte or not, you CANNOT deny that he is by far the most committed and passionate player this game has ever had.
No one has put in this much effort to try to better the game more than he did (Full glaze). Truly inspirational
Watching the video and this is the kind of data that i would love to see Rivals Data come up with, Lyte goes really in depth breaking down the data in regards to what all of this means and common traps (that require domain knowledge) that can influence data. Like how black cat's ban rate pushes her into the niche specialist area but that's not where she really belongs.
Writing wise, one of the best versions of Spider-Man we got.
Shame that it never got a sequel, but maybe that for the best. It would just be awful if they just wasted all the potential and momentum this game built up on a subpar story and character assassination, right?
Right?
I think part of why dive players get so defensive is that these heroes take a ton of time to actually learn, while the things that shut them down are usually way easier to execute.
You can spend hours learning combos, movement and how to find the tiniest opening just for the answer to be Thing existing nearby, C&D freeze or one defensive cooldown. Those things SHOULD counter dive, but there’s definitely an asymmetry when learning the hero is much harder than learning how to shut them down.
And even when a diver is doing their job (forcing cooldowns, dragging attention, breaking support LOS) that barely shows on the scoreboard, so the second things go wrong everyone assumes they’re doing bad.
Also supports and divers are naturally gonna hate each other a little. One wants to freely use their cooldowns and keep LOS on their team to heal them, the other literally exists to stop them from doing that.
I’m not even a real dive player, I just wish people were a little more sympathetic towards them. Maybe if we stopped treating every struggling diver like they’re griefing and try to cooperate with them, they’d be a little less defensive too
Doesn’t mean every dive player is good or innocent, but I do think people underestimate how frustrating that role can be.
I TRIED TO WARN YALL FOR MONTHS THIS HAS BEEN BREWING AND YALL IGNORED ME.
