بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy that took place at the Islamic Center of San Diego. We ask Allah ﷻ to protect the brothers and sisters there, to preserve the Muslims and the masaajid, and to bring safety and security to the community during this difficult time.

If any Muslims lost their lives in this tragedy, we ask Allah ﷻ to forgive them, have mercy upon them, and grant them the reward of the shuhadā’ and Jannatul-Firdaws without reckoning. May Allah also grant complete healing to those who were injured and patience and comfort to their families and loved ones.

We ask Allah ﷻ to protect the Muslims and the masaajid throughout the United States and across the world, to keep us firm upon the Qur’an and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf, and to protect us from the evil of those who harbor hatred and enmity toward Islam and the Muslims.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: What is correct about Jumu'ah Prayer on an 'Eid day is that it is NOT REQUIRED for one who prayed the 'Eid prayer. "Not required" does NOT mean discouraged or without virtue. As the scholars mention: Praying Jumu'ah is still better than praying Thuhr instead.
