Show up enough times,
and a crowd becomes a community.

If a platform can hand over the passport, the selfie, or the history because an email looked official, the user was never in control of the disclosure.

That’s not a verification problem.
That’s an identity-control problem.

It's a stack.
Different tools for different layers.
Social is one layer, not the whole thing.

It helps to use different tools, practices depending on personal & collective context. Especially, when tech products can ship for years.

Hiding the chain is easy.
The hard part is making sure you don't disappear with it.

You never cared which server held your Spotify list.
You don't care which database holds your DMs.
You shouldn't have to care which chain holds your activities either.

Relationships. History. Reputation.
Those should stay yours when the infrastructure disappears.

It has to compound:
Identity. Trust. Memory. Who's still here after the campaign ends.

That's why trading products ship faster.
Not because social failed.
Because social is a slower machine.

The mistake is treating the slower layer as optional.

Now the pendulum is starting to swing back.

Not because people suddenly got paranoid.
Because permanent visibility finally started to cost something.
