@MadisonPhilpott With everything that we’ve said I feel like at the core we want the same things. People to live and people, that are able, to do their part. I’m not against helping people in the slightest bit. I just want a system that helps people help themselves. And I think you would agree
@MadisonPhilpott Their childhood. Often early teens. The women took care of the other task around the “home” cooking, preserving, and caring for farm animals. So yes hunters/ farmers shared what they got but NOBODY went without doing their part in that “society”
@MadisonPhilpott If we want to go that route. Historically every able-bodied male either hunted farmed or did some sort of work around the “camp/village/whatever you want to refer to it as” they provided for the elderly, the women, and the children. Although children often began helping early in
@MadisonPhilpott Everyone has the right to eat. But you SHOULD be required to provide for yourself. That is life. Nothing is free and nothing is given without being taken from somewhere or someone else. If you lack work ethic I don’t want to have to be responsible for you. Be better.
@MadisonPhilpott referring to your comment about “not having to earn the right to eat”, how do you think people ate before the modern conveniences we have. People worked hard for their food. Even still in parts of the world where water isn’t easily accessible have to work very hard for what....
@MadisonPhilpott My issue is people who abuse the system for years without an attempt to better themselves because “it’s easier” or even worse “I make more money off of the government than I would if I went to work”
welfare reform requires people to actually make an effort to do better
@MadisonPhilpott I totally agree. I don’t know of a single person who just wants another person to die. With that being said, shouldn’t the goal of a welfare program be to get people off of welfare? I mean in a perfect world a successful welfare program should run itself out of business (1)
@eugenegu@realDonaldTrump President Trump could tweet “@eugenegu is the best physician in the world” and I’m convinced you would still argue with him. You are toxic.
