لاہور میں ایوانِ عدل کے باہر پی ٹی آئی وکلا کے احتجاج کی کوریج کے دوران پولیس ن�� آج نیوز کے رپورٹر ناطق ریحان کو مبینہ طور پر بہیمانہ تشدد کا نشانہ بنانے کے بعد حراست میں لے لیا۔ ناطق ریحان پر تشدد اور انہیں حراست میں لیے جانے کے خلاف صحافیوں نے شدید احتجاج کیا، جس پر پولیس نے انہیں رہا کر دیا۔

دوسری جانب پاکستان فیڈرل یونین آف جرنلسٹس (پی ایف یو جے) نے ناطق ریحان پر سرِعام پولیس تشدد اور انہیں حراست میں لیے جانے کی شدید مذمت کرتے ہوئے واقعے میں ملوث اہلکاروں کو فوری طور پر ملازمت سے برطرف کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔

پی ایف یو جے کے صدر افضل بٹ اور سیکرٹری جنرل ارشد انصاری نے مشترکہ بیان میں کہا کہ اعلانیہ و غیر اعلانیہ سنسرشپ اور سیلف سنسرشپ کے ��اوجود صحافیوں کو ہراساں کرنا معمول بنتا جا رہا ہے۔ این سی سی آئی اے اور پولیس کی جانب سے صحافیوں کے خلاف کارروائیاں ناقابلِ قبول ہیں۔

انہوں نے خبردار کیا کہ اگر ریاستی اداروں نے اپنا طرزِ عمل تبدیل نہ کیا تو ملک بھر میں بھرپور احتجاج کیا جائے گا۔ پی ایف یو جے کے رہنماؤں نے واضح کیا کہ ایسے ہتھکنڈوں سے نہ پہلے صحافیوں کو خاموش کرایا جا سکا ہے اور نہ آئندہ کرایا جا سکے گا۔

In continuation of security forces operations against the terrorists nexus of Indian sponsored Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, comprehensive joint operations are being carried in different parts of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa & Balochistan to weed out terrorists and their facilitators. In last 24 hours security forces have successfully eliminated thirty two terrorists of these Indian proxies.

On night 28/29 July 2026, multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations were conducted in district Khyber of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. During these targeted operations, security forces effectively engaged different terrorist locations killing twenty four terrorists belonging to Fitna al Khwarij. Meanwhile, security forces have also conducted multiple intelligence-based operations in District Nushki of Balochistan where after an intense engagement eight terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were sent to hell.

Weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists were also recovered and destroyed during operations.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area. Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
