No one can really tell the difference between an 18 year old and a 16 year old.

With thousands of pornographic images uploaded daily worldwide, many of them "leaked" content without consent, many could be unknowingly viewing and sharing child pornography.

It's part of the reason why this petition exists.

The other part is that 18 is simply too young to understand the implications of having your images online for the rest of your life. Too young to consent to the dangerous world of porn performing. Many participants suffer from a range of mental health issues too. Google never forgets. Making it 21 is a good transition, for now, to allow young people - and especially women - have more time to think.

It could also, hopefully, lead to the ages of people appearing to be verified by the poster before uploading. This could effectively ban leaked porn if uploaded in the UK by bad actors.

There is evidence that Hamas and other armed groups operated within densely populated civilian areas, making urban warfare extremely difficult. Israel demonstrably issued evacuation orders and warnings through methods including leaflets, messages and designated evacuation areas, while the IDF says it took additional measures to minimise civilian casualties. However, not all of the IDF's claims about its precautions can be independently verified, and independent investigations have documented attacks where warnings or adequate precautions appear to have been absent. Evacuation itself was also extremely difficult: civilians were repeatedly moved from one part of Gaza to another, often into overcrowded areas lacking basic services, while fighting and strikes continued around them. Most Gazans couldn't simply leave Gaza. So although precautions and evacuation warnings did exist, that does not establish that civilians were adequately protected or provided with genuinely safe places to go.
