I’m proud to be working with @tbh4justice and my law partner, Carlos Coye, to support students unfairly suspended for their peaceful protest in support of Palestinian liberation
The powerful believe that slaughtering 40,000 Palestinians is fine but student protests deserve harsh punishment. 5 courageous students are fighting back, suing UCI for its unprecedented and unconstitutional response to pro-Palestinian campus protest. Urgent thread! 1/7
I am proud to represent these students along with @massjulia at RSG Labor. Their involvement, along with other folks who wish to remain anonymous, has been instrumental. But we need more lawyers in the fight though. Please get in touch with me if you want to help! 7/7
“Go back to where you came from”? Please, I qualify for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. You go home.
I’m sad angry & frustrated, but I won’t take the bait. We are stronger together. #allies#stopaapihate#StopAsianHateCrimes

19 unaccompanied children have tested positive for COVID-19 at a Chicago shelter. Last week, 6 kids tested positive in New York facilities.
ORR needs to safely and quickly release children to sponsors. Congregate facilities are not safe.
@AGBecerra calls on DHS to release low risk immigration detainees, adopt screening and increased sanitation for those that remain, to limit unnecessary loss of life
We’re asking @DHSgov to do what’s right and take action to prevent the spread of #COVID19 in immigration detention facilities.
Failure to act won’t only harm immigrants in civil detention, it could also impact hospitals that will need to mobilize a response if nothing is done.
@AGBecerra urges DHS to release detainees who pose low security risks and adopt screening and sanitation measures to minimize overrunning local hospitals, limit unnecessary deaths
I urge @DHS_Wolf to take action to prevent the unnecessary loss of life.
Our communities are facing an unprecedented threat, and all of us must take affirmative steps to minimize it. https://t.co/YNZI8GI11p
Californians have a big heart. We come together & give back to our communities when crisis hits.
Unfortunately, there are scammers out there attempting to profit off of this generosity.
I urge everyone to be vigilant & do their research before donating. https://t.co/AA12vTJXm8

This was the other case argued at #SCOTUS today. Can a federal agent standing on the US side of the border shoot and kill a Mexican teenager on the Mexico side of the border with impunity? The US government says yes. The Court will decide.
A federal court has ruled that the government’s suspicionless searches of international travelers’ smartphones and laptops at airports and other U.S. ports of entry violate the Fourth Amendment. A huge victory from @ACLU & @EFF. https://t.co/zlXPfRwYMs
We won't know the Court's decision until January at the soonest, but it could take until June. If you have DACA or if you've had it in the past, learn more on how to renew here: https://t.co/BqRqjzlGu0 #HomeIsHere 6/6
By attempting to terminate the #Flores Agreement, the Trump Administration recklessly jeopardized the physical and emotional health of children.
We applaud the plaintiffs for putting a stop to the new regulations. https://t.co/uBjy0dYGDU
