The MATRS Executive Board have locked dates for our Annual BATTLE OF THE MASSES. This year we will challenge our regional teams on some unique skills in an woodland environment.
Thursday September 17th and Friday September 18th.
Also on the 17th we will be offering several workshops that we will announce in the coming weeks.
Thursday evening we will hold our pre battle meeting for team leaders and social hour with refreshment and meal for members.

The Western Massachusetts Technical Rescue Team is in need of additional equipment and would put any monetary donation to good use supporting technical rescues across all four western Massachusetts counties. Donations can be sent to:

They are happy to report, on the horse, Dolly, has recovered fully and has been cleared by the Vet to go back to doing what she loves to do

Today, tech rescue members from around the state converged on deer island for the 2026 metro Boston tech rescue challenge.
The event, hosted by one of our corporate sponsors, Corvus Professional, featured several rope rescue challenges.

#TechRescue Tuesday: DFS Special Ops staff supported @MassTechRescue at last week's exercise & demonstration. In addition to delivering ISU-1, they piloted drones like this one, which can assist rescuers in confined spaces, structural collapse scenes, indoor Hazmat calls, & more.
