Shamelessness is such a vital trait especially when putting something out there that you made. In my tech career I was always able to make and sell the product cos I could hide behind it. I wasn't selling me. I was selling something else.
But now as an artist and music producer, I have nothing to hide behind and have to put myself out there without caring too much about what people might think. But you also want others to like your work. It's such an interesting tension.
It's a skill, a muscle to build. I didn't have a lot of it. But the more I put my work out there, the more I'm improving, like with any other skill. So I guess what I'm saying is - just do it and screw what people might think!
When making products, what users want is all you care about. When making art, what you want is all you should care about...It's the only way to give people you're best and what they deserve!

For the last 1.5 years I've been thoroughly obsessed with making music. I'm either making it, or learning some technique or listening to others works. I love it!
Once you quit your 9-5 job and and try to build your own thing, you realise just how much of the world is designed around a 9-5 job. Terrifying and exciting at the same time!
