Jelly didn't have to bring up "nation" or "state" at all. Ppl responding to Jelly aren't using the acedemic meaning, but it's largely due to Jelly's confusing rhetoric.

You can't just say the ratio is wrong for not getting your or jelly's definition while ignoring our definition which was used by OP at the start.

However stating "China is a state that contains nations" as a counter arguement against "China is a nation that contains provinces" is either wrong or irrelevant depending on the definition of "nation".
