I think you can check your daily retention in AppStoreConnect? They can target any country and don't need to do it too often to kill your retention so you could keep it on sale there.
Basically the Zombie Bomb tells the algorithm that your app is a very poor match for whatever search term they base it upon eg if they could target your app for "AI".
@MichalLangmajer@dneveceral I have millions of downloads, 1000s of users and reviews, and it totally worked. If I spend $1000 on search ads but my rival spends $100 on a zombie bomb then I am actually way way worse off than if I had never bought ads.
@MichalLangmajer Several attacks here. It has killed my chess app. Basically kills your retention and search rank. Here's my retention drop from one of the attacks. This must be the cheapest way to destroy all your rivals especially as they will buying search ads that can never work.
Here is our chess app under attack from a rival app in the #Apple App Store 😳. There have been several attacks recently which means our ranking has died! This is despite spending $$$ on search ads. #appstore#iosdev#searchads .
Our #IOS app is called "Chess." and we are buying #Apple#SearchAds in the #AppStore for the keyword "Chess", so why can't we get above a 3 star Chess app abandoned 7 years ago? We've been told by #Apple to spend more on ads 😳.
@keleftheriou Meanwhile there is a huge scam going on where developers can destroy rival apps for just a few $$$, and search ads is rigged as you can see below. This is my app using search ads for the keyword "chess" yet I can't get above a 3 star app even though my app is an exact match.
What's going on with Apple App Store search results? Magnus Carlsen is the World's best chess player yet his app comes below one with 3 stars and just 18 ratings when you search for "chess". Is purchasing Search Ads the only solution? #AppFairness#OpenTheAppStores#ASO#apps
